Everytime I have done a block prep for a mhg, I just filed it smooth using a large file and running it down the block. I have never put anything on it and I have always came out good. I haven't blowen a head gasket in years.
The best sealant is no sealant... Just a good gasket.

mine is out of an MR2 turbo (92 and up model) I love the way it sits, it's never too hot and it has a rubber sort of feel. It's top heavy and works really well.

So then would the brian crower cams be a better choice? I checked again and it was crower that actually did the grinding, do all their cams stock that are ground down?

*where can i get shims to do this and how do I shim them?
I was on the 935 motorsport page and read about a company that will sell me 7mgte 264 cams. they take stock cams and they grind them down. Are these cams reliable enough for about 600 hp? What about the cams breaking or having other problems? Will i need to shim?

I always had problems with the 7m knock sensors breaking on my car, so I decided to use 2jz knock sensors (they screw right in) and wired my knock sensors directly to the ecu using usb cable. It works great and I have no problem. As for capping off the heater core, you can cap off the heater...
What you should do is start from the beginning again. I suggest buying new spark plugs (since yours are oil soaked) Get a heavy gauge wire and replace the ground for the coil pack plate. Then check the ignition coils for proper resistance. The tsrm requires between .3-.5 ohms. Change the...
I have had this timer for a long time... I put it though water (drowned the car with the timer on) This never happened to me. I also disconnected the battery many times. What I would do is take the covers off the timer, there is only one circuit board inside it. See if there are any blown up...
LOL, I wasn't even paying attention to the posts. I meant to type thrust seal. I think that is what it's called. The oil seal inside the turbocharger that is right in the middle of it. I could be wrong about the name.

There are is about a 4 or 5 pin difference in the yellow plugs verses the grey plugs.

The soldering portion wasn't so bad. it was time consuming, but I went slow and went wire by wire. I have no worries about the connection coming apart or loose.

The pins on the +89 are different than the pins on the 88. Rather than trying to find the right pins and everything, it was easier for me to solder and heatshrink the wires.

I have finished something that took some time, but was worth it. I took 91 harness plugs and cut them away from the harness. So I had the plugs from the 91 harness and I cut my 88 plugs off and replaced them with the gray plugs. Here are the pictures from the evolution...
lol, I guess this one is important... I found that i had a bad turbocharger. the trust seal more than likely was gone... There is oil soaked into the cast by the oil lines, so I am thinking that was the main cause (and me not checking everyday) So there is my responSe
