OP, quit complaining. i've got the only mk3 in southwest VA :D and the first one to show up in a junkyard happens to be 3.5 hours away.
as long is it's able to compress to 150psi i wouldn't think it should be much of an issue. when i tried mine cyl 3 only went to 140 and the rest were at 160-170.
use a funnel and be careful if you put it in through the shifter hole, or i picked up something at the hardware store that looks like a big metal syringe with about 8" of clear plastic tubing that's used to transfer gear oil.
i've got the SPTs right now. Poodles says they're loud but i can't tell much difference in road noise between them on my supra and the ASXs on my mom's 03 protege. However, the ASX would have probably been a better choice given the fact that i sometimes have to drive in snow. I'm getting along...
when i took mine out i used the TSRM procedure. I removed the oilpan and disconnected the conrods from the crank, then used a rubber coated hammer handle to press the pistons and conrods into my hand underneath (block is upside down)...
