compression check result questions..

okay so i did a compression check..but i am not done seeing im about to go 2 work in a couiple minutes...but cylinder 1 came in at 150....the needle built up quickly but stopped after 4-5 compression strokes at 150....had wot normal operation temp. (let it cool down after couple mint) disocntect ignition...my question is what conclusion can this 1 cylinder come up 2...does that sound healthy to you guys?..

did you only do one cylinder? i was told that consistancy is the most important thing... so you want all of your cylinder to be at the same compression, 150-160

tsrm says: Compression pressure, 156psi or more, no less than 128psi, and the biggest difference is 14psi.

yessir only once cylinder so far...ill be re-doing it from 1-6 after work...i ran out of time seeing weather is shit here and i need to catch a ride from someone else....wnated to drive the supra =( ..oh and its a 88 7mgte with 119k miles

oh and scratch the "healthy quetsion" i 4got i have to do the whole thing first...but my question was...does the way the needle builds up 2 150 matter?..

as long is it's able to compress to 150psi i wouldn't think it should be much of an issue. when i tried mine cyl 3 only went to 140 and the rest were at 160-170.

150 is fine. You must have a problem that I don't know about or you wouldn't be doing a compression test. If they're all close to 150 then your problem is somewhere else. Let us know the outcome.

so i did the compression check...results are (1)151 (2) 150 (3) 150 (4) 149 (5) 152 (6) 149 ...sounds like a good engine...what do you guys think?..
