also just noticed this, when i go from N to D the revs drop from 1200 ish down to about 500 before settling at 900 ish (obviously i know there gonna drop when i select anything other than P or N)

I can currently drive my car around till its warmed up and put it into neutral and it will idle at >1100 rpm

After i replaced the rubber pipe under my alrernater last weekend the engine idle speed settled right down again. approx 750 rpm.
now its shot right back up to 1300rpm cold start and 1000 rpm when warmed up.
i guess i must have caused a problem by only changing the 1 pipe. perhaps its...
you mean as you speed up it waves about quite fast? if so thats a knackered cable from the box. Mine does the same thing. i just live with it. afterall you dont look at the speedo all the time when ya drivin it do ya
a while ago a member of the uk supra site made some up. I doubt if there will be any left now though. Perhaps somebody from this site could be in the metal work trade and be able to make up a few sets to sell on here
