i removed my afm last night and noticed there was some sludge/oil in the accordion hose. there was also a little oil on the lip of the turbo. its a ct26 but it seems to be in really good shape it boosts great sounds great and very very little shaft play. does the pvc system throw any oil back...
that Pegasus site looks good i'll check some local places for 1 1/4's but i doubt i'm gonna be able to find any. thanks for the input hopefully this piece will be on the car soon :-)
i'm installing my one piece sometime this week i've heard the stock bolts won't fit though. anyone know anything about this firsthand and what size hardware did you end up getting?
there was a lose vacuum line under there that went to the vsv for the egr, plugged it back and no more smoke. i'm assuming that my egr does have a crack or hole but since the vsv is plugged in its letting all that smoke go into my intake and not out the hole? before i take this thing apart would...
gaskets are new, i'll try to figure out more specifically where its coming from but it has to be the egr huh? no other place for black smoke to come from on that side of the motor. and its only when i rev it, i thought the egr is closed at wot?
i just got my motor going its been sitting for the past 8 months, only prob is that when i rev a puff of black smoke will come out from around where the egr is under the intake mani. i checked all the bolts though and the egr is on there tight, any ideas?
just checked my old block with this new one and they are the same, this is wierd. the newer aluminum brackets i have now face down at about a 30 degree angle are they supposed to bend up when the motor comes in??? i layed the older brackets on the mounts and they were straight.
i have a set of the aluminum brackets it seems like the difference is in the block i wasn't aware that there was a difference in blocks though. the aluminum ones sit at an angle facing down, when i use the old style brackets they seem to be at the right angle but i'd have to drill out a hole...
i'm putting my motor back in but the mounts dont fit right. i have the newer mounts but the block is from an 88. the mounts from the 88 look to be at a different angle?
i'm gonna be running around 14-16 psi my current fuel system is lex afm, 550's, 255 walbro pump and 12v mod. will the stock fpr be able to hold the pressure from the walbro or should i get an aftermarket afpr?
wow thats clean nice work man. you should get a cap on that altenator, if that metal braded fuel lines touches it bad things will happen, ask me how i know :-(
