Agreed. Same thing happened to me and the timing on the distributor has to be pretty close to 10 degrees BTDC before it will start. Also, let it sit a while before starting it because the plugs are prob soaked in fuel. Unless you want to take each one out and torch the ends with a flame...

Sounds like a BHG. Do you get better gas mileage now than you did before? As for the heater core, does your heater work? I'm guessing not since there is no coolant in the core. Check the VSV and make sure it is allowing coolant to get to the heater core. A bypassed VSV. ---^ VSV -...

I did mine my self with a composite HG and I also replaced pistons w/rings, water pump, timing belt, oil pump, clutch, ARP Head Studs, thrust washers, rod bearings, all new gaskets and seals, plugs and wires, and everything else aka oil, coolant, ps fluid, sh1t loads of brake cleaner, etc...

Okay... I'm very imbarassed to admit to this, but apparently I cant read... I finally got it running after realizing I was turning the crank Clockwise instead of counter clockwise during the dizzy timing setup... Oh well... Lesson learned! Thanks again for all your help guys!!! :)

Are your plugs not sparking? have you taken plug #1 out, grounded it, and tried cranking it to see if you see a spark? If you do, take out all your plugs and take a lighter or a blow torch to them to burn off any excess fuel. The may be flooded with fuel and unable to spark. It happened to me...
