MB "Battles" sizes; (f) 17x9, 15mm...(r) 17x9.5, 15mm...tires 225/45's and 245/45's respectively. front rims are actually 30mm offset, but w/ my H&R 15mm spacers, they are 15mm.

The last photo is my least favorite thing about the 'poke & tuck' look...how skinny the tires look stretched on those 9.5" wide rims!

So quick question. I am curious to see if I have to worry about these wheels rubbing on my coils
18X9.5+30 front and rear.
The car is lowered as it is. I know fender work maybe needed but thats a big deal. just worried about the coils.

Does anyone have some input for me?

ive got 17x 9.5 +35 on fronts and they dont foul on anything so you should be fine - esp with rears

I have 17x9.5 +50 all around, with 275/40's on them, they don't rub at all. Stick that 20mm further toward the outside of the car... you're gonna be fine. Should look pretty good too, at least in the back. Not sure about the front, they *might* stick out a bit.

You've got 275s in the front and they don't rub? Did you pull the fenders and do other mods?

it would look too "in" imo. would be better with spacers.. not saying u NEED them though.. if you are thinking about clearance.. 17x7 +40 will leave you tons of room

stock JZA70 wheels are 16x7 +44, so yeah I'd say you'd have plenty of room

alright sounds good. So +42 wouldnt be a problem either. I plan on getting wheel spacers. Just not right away.

What would be a good tire size combination (front & back) plus spacers for the mkiv tt wheels? Originally, the front tires scrapped heavily when it had DR's 275/40/17.

I have Eibach springs with KYB struts all around.

Why were you running drag radials on the front of a Supra? Do you just not like turning very much? :icon_conf

You've got 275s in the front and they don't rub? Did you pull the fenders and do other mods?

Tires don't rub the fenders, the wheels do rub the control arms (or something on the inside) if you try to do u-turns too sharply, but that's easily avoided. Only mod to the car related to the wheels/tires is Megan Racing coilovers...

I got the wheels with them already and only had 6-7 passes on them. The rubbers are now removed that's why I am asking what I would need.

This is because the MkIV offsets are 50MM!!! To keep this from happening, you need to get those 9.5" s out there to about a 30mm offset. Then, roll your fenders and run a 255/40 on the front, and the 275/40 on the rear (w/ the 20mm spacer also)

I know the offsets and all that fun stuff. Gonna probably stick a 10-15mm spacer on the front, keep 275/40. As for the back, going to be running an ~8mm spacer, with 315/35's on them. I :love: turning, I'm not a drifter, don't care about mpg, so all in all, I like the plan so far. Not worried about the offset up front causing minor steering issues.

Thinking about running a 255/40 on another set of 17's for snow tires though...

5Zigen wheels. 17x9 +35 front (Nitto NT05 255/40/17), 17x10 +25 rear (Nitto NT05 275/40/17)
Tein fully adjustable suspension. Not sure of spring rate, but it's uncomfortably stiff, which I like.

Please excuse the filth coating the car. It's been sitting in a shop since August of '09. Today is the first day its been outside in 9 months! It's been a slow and painful rebuild. Lots of issues, but a good learning experience. I think when the car's done, I'll lower the front suspension slightly. The difference of clearance in the front and rear wheel wells bothers me.

I would also like an answer to this question, as I plan to run the exact same size wheel and offset.
