I'd like to have this same fitment ^^^^^^^^^^^ with 17x9.5's up front and 17x11 in the rear. I'm thinking SSR Professor SP1's will be the rim of choice unless I can find something nice that is used for cheaper.

Quick side question...what are the guys drifting mk3s running width wise up front and in the rear...and what HP/TQ number if possible/known?

thx...rm

I drifted with 18x9.5 +15 18x10.5 +15 but I am a litte nuts haha. I was sliding with 100 hp/tq too ;)

Was that on your coilover setup? Those pics put you in the tiny niche of no body roll. lol almost unheard of in the community still.

With all the negative camber did you notice any effects on the drifting on the car, either good or bad? Maybe good cause it gave you more tire contact and more smoke?

Hello All,

I need help with tire size. I am lowered on H&R's and the wheels i'm thinking about getting are:

Enkei's RPF1's
18x8.5 30+ offset (front)
18x10 38+ offset (rear)

Looking for the best fitment without haveing to pull of roll fenders.

Thank you,
Jim

I had stance at the time. As for all that camber drifting, I bet it had a larger contact patch but it was the only way those wheels would fit lol.

You will need to roll your fenders.

Thanks Bor Hor!

What about the front? Should i go with there 18x9 +35 offset or 18x8.5 +30 offset? And if you could help with the tire size for the front on H&R's I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Jim

Sup everyone. I haven't been here in a while, but i decided to get my sup up and running again. Anyways, im in some need of new shoes so i mind as well get some rims while im at it.
I want to go 19"
Tires.com has got the Privat Netz wheels im lookin at:
19x8 for the fronts
19x9.5 for the rears

What i need to know is what offset would you suggest:
for the fronts: either +30 or +40
for the rears: either +25 or +40
and then what tire sizes would you recommend for the front and what's the widest tire size i could run in the rear without rubbing of course.

currently im lowered on tanabe gf210's that give about an 1" drop all around.
and would i have to roll the fenders?
thanks in advance
and im glad to be back home!!

Front I would do +30 for sure. pobably a 235/35 tire
Rear if you do +40 You can do 275/30/19 with a slight to no roll.
+25 you will have to do a 245 or 255/35 and do a pretty flat roll but will have a more aggressive stance.

It is all up to how you want it to look

Do you know if willwood front big brake kit (355mmm rotor) will clear ok with a
18x8.5 25ET front wheel?
I know,it depends from the rim and it's spoke design...but at least can somebody tell me how many mm should be the
clearment between the disc's surface and the inside of the wheel?

Thanks, need to know if I'll need spacers or not :biglaugh:

I feel like I am abusing this thread but finding a set of rims is not an easy task

18x8 +35 215/40/18
18x9+35 235/40/18

and

four 18x9.5 +15 with four 265/35/18

Im on stock suspension

Which of these would fit the best? And look good? Could I use stock lug nuts?

Talk to ARZ about clearance. I remember he made a template for it.

First set will work and you can go bigger tires if you want. Actually should go bigger tires. or else there will be a huge gap. Second set won't fir with out a bunch of work.

^ and these

17x9+25 235/40 f
17x10+25 255/40 r

These are my 3 choices I am buying one of these sets!

That can probably work. I actually did that set up before with my FN01RC's Rear would have to be rolled though.

Should fit decently. Get a good sized tire and that should fill in the gap nice.

Hey, thanks man.

Can you be so kind to recommend some tire sizes for the best look.
I'd rather have more tire like you said, but also want to turn good still.
No drifting though.

i vote a 40 series tire, i have 18 x 9 in the front and 18 x 10 in the rear but have a 245/40 tire in the front and a 265/35 in the back. I hate the way it looks now with the rear tires being skinnier so I'm def getting 265 or maybe even 275/40 in the back next tire change
