That's the wire in question already.

I will look into the NS switch. Gonna have to look around and try to find a diagram for it.

Ken i was thinking a loose connection at the starter.

I'm betting bad starter!

A bad wire usually is either bad or not.

But the starter was just fine on the other engine and with the other harnesses (body and engine). I can't see how it could just go bad between engines. :3d_frown::dunno:

I put the starter and cable on with the engine out, IIRC I checked that.

All I know is that I'm going to have get back underneath that mo-fo!

Oh, It's not the NS switch. I just got a pm from Christian telling me the starter relay would not click if the switch was bad.

Incorrect information. The starter relay gets a ground through the theft deterent module. The NS switch is just the last leg before the starter on automatic cars. If the switch is improperly adjusted/malfunctioning it will not let the voltage through to engage the starter.

If anyone else needs proof on this, place your shifter in low gear and turn the key to start position. You will still hear the relay close on the passenger side everytime you turn the key.

Thanks Scott. I just got home for Denver and went out and plugged the battery charger on it. I put it on 50 amp jump and hit the starter. Nothing again. I hit it again and it fired up for 2 seconds. Then nothing but click click again. I won't be able to work on it tomorrow either cause I'm going to Albuquerque NM and then Houston. Saturday I work my regular job, so maybe, just maybe Sunday I can piddle with it. I will be studying that tech page you linked me too though.

too damn cold in north Texas to work on supras right now...

my radio died and took out my clock and some other things, probably a fuse, but I never replace a fuse without fixing the issue that caused it to blow in the first place...

LOL I was at work yesterday and when I got home I check my mail. There was a piece of mail from Fred Haas Toyota in Houston telling me to bring in my 1989 supra for a new or pre-owned car. They gave me a $3,500 voucher.... Said bring your old car in for a more environmentally friendly car. Needless to say it was kind of insulting :3d_frown:

And one of those salesman will probably buy it.

Scott. I got the package today. UPS delivered it to my neighbors house a few days ago and they have been out of town. She brought it over this morning.:icon_bigg
