Ken, I've got an extra 3000 pipe or two, and plenty of parts cars worth of bolts. Let me know if you want any of them.

And, I'm not positive if it's still there, but I think I posted a close up of all the vacuum lines in my build somewhere. I'll see if I can find that pic tomorrow.

Umm, send me a pic or two of those pipes. I've got an extra one too, but it has a crack in it! And yeah, if you got a bunch of bolts that will fit the intake, I'll take 'em!

As far as the vacuum lines, I've got a diagram and everything seems to be fitting together like puzzle pieces. It's been a lot easier than I thought it would be.:icon_bigg

Ok, I was somewhat productive today, but I have some questions. First, Scott, I took some bolts out of an old na intake to y pipe and used them for mine, so I think I'll be ok as far as bolts are concerned.

I got all the vacuum lines installed and I'm not sure but that vsv on the right just doesn't seem like it belongs there but it was the only place I could find for it to fit correctly. Does everything look right to yall?

Pic 2 EDIT----MYSTERY SOLVED
Where do these go? And why does the TSRM show only two vacuum outlets for GTE instead of three like this modulator has on it? The diagrams (I found) were not that clear on what goes where.

Pic 3 EDIT-----MYSTERY SOLVED
WTF is this? I found it in my little baggie labeled 'intake side motor mount and starter bolts'. Well I can't figure out where it goes and don't remember taking it off.

Thanks. Having it running by then is sure a possibility. Being able to drive it to Austin is not likely. It will need tires before I try and venture out any further than my driveway. :icon_bigg Another big expense there.

hey gtsfirefighter, those two lines you were talking about go on the throttle body.

I don't see where they can go on the throttle body. The nipples (giggity) on the throttle body already have vacuum lines that are supposed to be there. I'll go look again though.

That first one is not a GTE. It has three vacuum nipples on the throttle body, which is GE. I've got a complete GE intake sitting in the garage so I looked. Also it is showing a fuel filter under the intake, which probably mean a Cressida engine. Thank though:icon_bigg !!!

I had two egr's laying around, one from a GE and the other GTE. I couldn't tell the difference in the actual egr valve but I'll bet I've got a GE vacuum modulator on there.

I just looked at mine.. mine only has two vacuum hoses. one going to the egr and the other going to the vacuum hard line under the intake manifold.

added: are you sure you have the correct one.. all the ones I ever seen only have two outlets and not three.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have the wrong one. :/

ah, kinda figured.. but he has a gte. so doesn't that mean he would need of with only two outlets.. thats why I was getting confused.

so in that case, its junkyard time.. or find someone who has one laying around.

yes, that right VSV is in the right place

wrong EGR (I'll run to storage, I'm sure I have one out there, but finding it is gonna be the tough part)

that's the bracket for the dampener on the driver's side of the engine that bolts to the frame

take that water inlet off and take a wire wheel to it... calcium deposits /= good sealing surface

Hey Thanks!! After talking with Scott (ForcedTorque) I went out and looked and figured the bracket out. It will go on today.

I already planned on taking the Dremel to the water inlet. Because of the flash it looks much worse in the picture than what it does in person. Oh and thanks again for the vsv confirmation.

I told ya I got a vacuum thingy too! I'll ship them tomorrow. Picture of 3000 tonight.

Ok, still got my info?
xxooxx

Got more stuff done today. The motor is basically ready to be dropped in.:icon_bigg
I got the power steering reservoir bolted as well as the a/c and alternator brackets. Oh, and the tension pulley. The hardest thing I've had to deal with so far is degreasing everything I've taken off that other motor. Geez!
I believe I might need a new dampener. It feels pretty loose. I'll get new one before I bolt it up. <edit, No I won't. I just found out how much those things cost. Damn!!! $100

Edit-some pics. And yes I know my garage is trashed.
