You need to be sure your motor matches that 6500rpm redline. If it's an 89+ motor I believe it redlines at 6250

Well, let me break it down. The block is 87 GTE. The head is 89 GE. ECU and harness 87. The intake is 89 but was told all sensors on the plenum should plug right in. The others already taken care of. So really have no idea about redline.:aigo: I don't want to say I'll never reach that high an RPM but I will say I have no plans to try. It's an auto for Gods sake, it'll probably blow that up first.:sarcasm:

The rev limit is in the ECU, and with the tranny set to pwr it will hold till redline if you floor it.

I have a pre-89 volt meter I'll trade yah for that 89.... I just gotta find the damn thing...

Nice job ken! Your car is going to be nice when you get done with it. I've seen your motor in person and it looks nice! I thought the supermonitor was only offered in 86.5 to 88 supras?? If I'm right then it shouldn't matter about the redline.

The frame rails and core support are damaged. I didn't realize it when I bought the car, which was for parts in the first place. They gayness of it took control and made me sell my VERY VERY fucking nice 89 na. The car has had significant damage in the past but not enough to earn a reconditioned title. I got estimates to fix it but got no guarantees everything would line up right so that was the deal breaker. I'm very obsessive about body panels lining up so I didn't want to chance it. It would have bugged the crap out of me and been a major distraction. Dirty White Boy has some body issues but nothing I can't fix on my own. I'll send you a PM about that volt meter.

...and they will fit my 6.5 speaker pods, thank you very much Kyle!!! The Caddy didn't need them. I will try to get these installed tomorrow. Won't be able to listen to them until I do the harness swap though. Guess I need to hurry up with that too.

BTW, I have a question. The intake, throttle body and linkage I will be using is coming off of a motor that had a standard transmission. It will now be going on a motor with an auto. Are there any differences that I need to be aware of?

Ok, so I got my engine home::w00t::

Then, all by myself, I assembled my engine stand and lifted the engine out of my truck and attached it to the stand. I was proud of myself since this was my first time.

I then placed the old engine on the cradle Christian gave me so now it's up off the floor. Sorry no pic.

Anyway, it's home after five months!!!!!!
