He broke his pinky toe on the left foot so it was too hard to push in the clutch and shift LOL :biglaugh:

I highly suggest you go practice racing more, no.... never mind, looking at rear ends is what you like.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am VERY pleased to announce that the winner of the SILV08 MkIII Smackdown will take home not only a 3 foot trophy but also $250 cash. How's that for an added incentive?

We do have a slightly shorter - but still impressive - trophy for 2nd place!

Also... each participant in the SILV08 MkIII Smackdown will receive a special SILV08 MkIII Smackdown T-shirt. These shirts are limited to just one per participant. Nobody else will get this shirt.

All SILV08 MkIII Smackdown participants will be parked in High Roller Alley at the Show-and-Shine right alongside the High Roller Series participants.

I will be sending out an email very soon to all SILV08 MkIII Smackdown participants with a bit more information on when we'll need you at the various activities.

We are expecting Turbo Tony's two 7M-GTE records to fall this year. Those marks were set at 825whp with nitrous and 9.97 seconds down the 1320. Can someone take these two records away from Tony this year? We'll just have to wait and see.

See you guys in just TWO weeks!

That's pretty awesome Keith. It's almost like the MKIII is being respected this year..........:icon_bigg

I know for a fact that the 9.97 record will fall this year and I'm willing to make a bet with anyone that doesn't agree. It may be beaten by three contestants that we know of. I'd really like to see one of our fearless leaders make it down into the 9.20's or somewhere there about.

In case I haven't mentioned this before, someone please make sure this is caught on video by two or more poeple and then maybe we can talk someone into editing it into an awesome MKIII video. If I wasn't so poor and Vegas wasn't so far away, I'd video it myself and put on here, but I am and it is, so I can't...........

Come on guys, time to step up the smacktalk and lower the sixty foot times.

I have always tried to show my respect for all generations. SILV is one of the FEW events where the MkI, MkII, and MkIII Supras are not lumped together into a single category.

This year the MkIIIs are really stepping things up... so SILV had to step things up as well.

I know there will be a MkIII that may dip into the 8s. That MkIII will be in the High Roller Series though.

I am looking into putting down my DSLR this year and picking up a nice HD Camera to shoot. If I do this there will be a LOT of videos hitting YouTube over the weeks after SILV08. I used to do a lot more video editing and would love to get back into that now that the tools are more readily available (last time I did editing it was cuts only from deck to deck). Most people shoot just what they are interested in. Since my interest here is "THE EVENT" I will document as many aspects as I can.

Thank you sir............

My wife and I drove from Birmingham to Chicago two years ago and when the video came out, there wasn't one MKIII in it, and they were well represented at the meet. The guy that made the video apologized when I brought this to his attention, but he said he could only make a ten minute video. Out of the whole ten minutes he couldn't set aside one minute for a few MKIII's..........that just pissed me off. I'm glad to see that you're not sweep the MKIII's up under a rug. Thanks again for the great meet you guys put on.

If someone makes it down in the 8's that's going to be awesome..........:x:

That's great Keith. :)

Did you get the Smack Down shirts right by putting a Blue Supra behind a White one? :sarcasm:

Jeff, have you gotten anymore track time in? You know by having a 2J doesn't automatically make it fast so get to it! :evil2:

Hmmm... I wish I would have thought of that. Unfortunately the awards are already on their way to Portland - arriving tomorrow. I guess that means you'll have to actually compete now. :)

This is going to be FUN!

I love it, Duane and Jeff are just like the movie "The Great White Hype", I can't wait to see who gets knocked the f out.

Also, don't count the little guys out yet. My build is coming together quite nicely. I might not get the three footer but that 2nd looks just as good to me.

If anybody wants to see Driftmotion and myself testing for Vegas we should be at Irwindale next thursday for test and tune. I hope to get some runs in on this set-up so I don't look like a rookie. :icon_bigg

Also big thanks to Kieth and everyone for putting this together, great job.

Thank you guys for stepping up and supporting the new program! Everything looked good on paper. It looks GREAT with actual participants - and the hype being generated is AMAZING!

How you role? or roll? Just to confirm.

You are right, you do "roll" roll over to the side lines as it will be all in pieces with you at the line and me gone! :evil2:

It doesn't matter, you are all slow. Come to the track here, and I will take you down one by one in the 7mge cressida with 90 psi of compression on every cylinder.
