I come from a land down under
John: I've ran into the MoTeC log jibberish a few times and after speaking with the MoTeC Techs in that area it appears to happen if there are too many channels enabled or if the sample rates are set too high.

I've asked for the Limit to be changed from 64 channels to a max of 45.

Nobody knows the facts but selected few.

Keep it to the topic on hand. You still have a time to beat Jeff and then go after Tony. BTW, good luck on taking him out as I was talking to him and you have some work ahead of you.

I haven't run into this on his car, I am actually not logging near the channels on his that I have on others but something to keep in mind. I have even run the log pretty full on his before. I was wondering if it had something to do with the electrical issues the car was having prior to this.

The "Facts" are that the 7M is holding true to its traditional reputation. 7M BHG FTW!!!!!!:evil2:

Any pics?????

I doubt you'll be getting any pictures or greeting cards from Duane with posts like that. I like to joke around about the 7m as much as the next guy, but I feel for Duane since he's put soo much time, money and effort into this build and then some stupid accident happens right before the Vegas meet. Hopefully Duane and the other northern guys can figure out what caused this so it doesn't happen again, and I seriously doubt the car is at Vegas this year. There's no way he's going to half ass put it back together and take a chance of it blowing up in Vegas without knowing what caused this first setback. Hopefully the rest of you guys don't have any problems before, during or after the meet. I wouldn't wish car problems on anyone........especially with the economy the way it is. Good luck guys.

If anybody wants to see Driftmotion and myself testing for Vegas we should be at Irwindale next thursday for test and tune.

Do you guys run out at Irwindale often?

I'm there pretty often, and I'm usually the only MkIII there. I'll definitely look for you guys.

Who built the engine and who tuned it?

it was a low mileage jdm NA motor, I put an ebay metal headgasket on it and torqued it to 60ftlbs well above what the book says. It's not really tuned yet, I loaded a base map onto the motec and just cranked up the boost on it.

You must be duane's apprentice. Every time I see you post your are either praying for him or holding onto his pants pocket acting as a spokesman.:biglaugh:

Duane, I am very sorry, that sucks and I was really looking forward to racing you, and also because you were the only one holding Jeffs smacktalk in check:nono:

We havn't been running there lately, but after vegas I hope to get up there more often. As for thursday, I hope to still make it, we have alot going right now and I wanted to get some dyno time before the track. We will see, right now I am cutting everything down to the wire.

No worries bud. I guess Ron, Nate, Tom and I will plan for next year. :icon_bigg

On topic here:

Jeff still has a time to beat. I ran a 10.2@142MPH on my old T88 taking it easy. (1.7760ft) I haven't gotten this new set-up down the track with full pass just yet but soon enough. No worries as I will come back with more.
