Well, I'm not driving 300 km to take pictures for you just because you think I'm full of BS.

I'll ask him if he has a few pictures because some guy a Supramania doesn't belive he has that many Supras......

In the meanwhile you can see his place from the outside:

The barn to the right and a stable behind it are full of mkIIIs.

damn. not that any of us doubted you, we're just puzzled by the prospect of traction control on a mk3. as you've seen, noone here in the us has it, and it doesnt look like any of the catalogs had it as an option. it could exist, but none of us have seen it.

Well I'm no Supra guru.

I was just told by the place where I bought my car that it had traction control.

Then almost loosing the car during acceleration made me doubt that it was working properly.

Now I know for sure that my car doesn't have it.

If there were ever made mkIIIs with TC I don't know.

My friend says he once had one and that it looked very much factory fitted to him.

He just counted his cars because I asked him and he says he has 57 now and is picking up 3 more on sunday.

Many of his cars are sold for parts but I think at least half are ready to be sold as running cars. He has a number of mint condition cars but most are sold in need of a little TLC.

So getting used parts around here is pretty easy :biglaugh:

A picture would end this confusion.

Check out my post, if thats his engine in his car, no TC.

I dont think Toyota even had produced an electronic non throttle plate based traction control system at the time the mk3 was produced.

the clues lead to something with an aftermarket engine management...

the ECU wouldn't plug into another car...

maybe IJ isn't the only crazy person to add TC to a MKIII...

Actually he said it wouldn't work with any of the other cars. Not that it wouldn't plug in. That was me not expressing myself clearly enough.

But I guess we won't know unless he (someone else) gets his hands on another one.

i have a seat buckle from the passenger seat...

if TOyota has a non-throttle body based TC system, it wouldnt be on the MK3. if their flagship sports car in 93.5 still used a throttle plate, the MK3 certainly would have used something as primative if not MORE primative like a monkey under the pedal to push your foot up during wheel spin.

oh, and the ABS is only 3-channel, not 4-channel.
