Why not just modulate the throttle with your foot when the rear tyres start to lose traction, works for me.

I really want to see how well that works once you're over 400rwhp ;)

I was refering to the op

feeding the throttle in and setting up your boost so it isn't all dumped in your lap at once helps. And if not just learn to control the car when the back starts to lose traction.

Doesn't always work that way.....

I have logs of wheelspin at 100mph in the dry and have spun the rears at 110mph in the wet with minimal throttle/boost.

TC is a life saver and well worth the $ for those times when the Tq monster tries to bite you in the arse ;)

Is there a sensor in the LSD? Cause one guy here says, that he has a wire in there and he thinks that's the cause of him not being able to do donuts ( like for example BMW do)??
Don't know, whether I should believe him, cause my N/A doesn't have one :D

Does anyone have any experience with the AEM ecu and it's traction control?

Does it require additional sensors? Or will it work with the ABS system?

Good traction control should be seamless you shouldn't know it's working other than the car is accelerating rapidly despite the conditions.

First few tests of the MoTeC system on gravel roads were very anticlimactic...

Nailed it and nothing......... just took off to the point I didn't think it was doing a thing even though the Laptop said it was ;)

Shut it off nailed it again it spun hard enough to go into Hardcut on the limiter and shut the motor down!

Haha sounds like he's afraid to admit he has an open diff.

We have no open diffs here, only LSD's I think. Doing burnout is no problem...but it doesn't go donut, like BMW's do, so...different type of differential, or can you guys do donuts from the spot?

Not to mention access to some really good drugs ;)

"A sensor that stops him doing donuts".....
So you say no electronics in any of our differentials....that's what I thought too....
Though I don't really care :D Mine goes sideways no problem :) ...in the wet :D

Since this thread has gone way off course I can just as well ask here:

Does the Race Logic TRC use wheel speed sensors?

I have looked up the AEM and it seems it is not using wheel speed sensors but engine accelation rate.

The MegaSquirt uses the same system.

I want proper TRC.

Which systems use a proper TRC setup with hall sensors on the wheels or alternatively uses the ABS sensors (I don't know if that is possible) ?

Why is'nt this guy who has 57 Mark IIIs posting on this board?

He is not that much into computers and forums. He is active on danish forums though but that is about it.

I guess he'll rather spend his time working on his cars.

Where does he get his market base to make a living off what he does?

If I sold supras for a living my ass would be working every forum that had something to do with toyota/mark IIIs.

If this guy is what you say he is, the we would welcome his knowledge here, we could definatly use more knowledgable people.
