Cressidas here never had ACIS.

Japanese 7M-GE's had the TRC system, we never did.

This was taken from a thread IdealSupra started with a similar picture. Not sure if he meant Supra, Cressida, or a different application.

There we go. WINNER. Yeah if you had traction control power would have been cut or minimized until you are stable again.

whats my prize?

Either way, traction control (whether you have it or not) will operate whether its wet or dry. only reason you never broke traction before on dry is because you don't have enough torque...... maybe you have a 1J and dont know it?? :biglaugh:

Just looked at your profile, if this is a pic of the engine in your car:

Its 100% confirmed you have no traction control unless you have some type of standalone engine management or piggy back of some kind that gives you electronic traction control by cutting fuel or spark and or retarding ignition timing. Though i think you would know about it if you had that AND it wouldn't have broken loose in wet weather.

Supras never came equipped with the 7M-GE in Japan, only the 7M-GTE. The 7M-GE in the MX83 (Mark 2, Chaser, Cresta) and MS135/137 (Crown) had the traction control.

The Supra was never equipped with factory traction control until the JZA80. I just looked through the European, Australian, Japanese, Middle-East, and North-American catalogs and it isn't in any of them.
