I look at this as a chance to create a reference for all the things I wish were on here. People get upset when members ask a stupid question, but the fact is, many don't have the background to know any better (me included for many things!). Having a tool like this should only up the intelligence.

Well within the next week or 2, I'll be doing a BHG repair on my 7mge, just so I can get her up and runnin until I pull the block to go 7mgte. I'll make sure and borrow my g/fs camera and do a detailed right up on it. That will be our BHG guide, unless someone has a better one

I have as pretty clean 7M. I think its a good thing that you're doing also. I know some DSM guys and they're pleased with the support and info they get. How can I help?

Instead of emailing everything might it not be easier to get an FTP dropbox setup? That way contributors can just put everything into a folder (pics, text document, etc) and upload the whole folder to the FTP server. There'll be a lot less hassle than dealing with tons of email and possibly email size caps.

An open FTP wouldn't work I can guarantee. It's too insecure and next thing you know you've got horseporn filing up the supramania server.

I think his concern was outgoing email limits. I don't have any limit on incoming file sizes, and I set my storage for this address to 200GB. If people email me from yahoo or something like that, I think some of those servers have a 10mb limit.
I have no problem with people putting links to their pictures if you already have them hosted somewhere. You could always just upload them to a free service and provide me the link if you are having size issues. I will save them on mine/supracentral's server, so we never have to worry about them moving.
If anybody has issues, let me know.

It's too bad we're not closer, I am learning how to do the HG myself right now!
Anyway, I'm most of the way done with the other site, so I'll start building whatever I can for the dictionary tomorrow. CONTENT is what we need though, as soon as I get done with the work on the car (although I guess it's never done), I'll try to go through SM and compile some useful pages.
Keep in mind I am no expert, so to make this site truly useful, we need some of the smarter folks here to edit/revise/create as we go along.

So technically speaking wouldn't this be more of an encyclopedia than a dictionary? Perhaps we should use the subdomain reference.supramania.com? Just a thought.
