oh man what a day! Thanks for all the compliments everyone. The car has been a hell of a lot of fun to build and we love being able to drive it finally. We ran out to walmart and got a marine battery box for $7 and that got us through tech.
Today at the autocross the car handled great and felt great but we couldn't overcome or lack of experience autocrossing and our crappy tires. Most people were on slicks and pulled great times. We let two of their professional drivers take the car and they seemed to love it. We were in the mid of the pack, I believe, on the autocross. Everybody seemed to love the car and came over to check it out. Hopefully we'll do well in the concours and move up in the ranks.
We are having one problem......fuel cut! We get boost creep up to 12psi and the fuel cut hits hard preventing us from going full throttle. If anyone has any suggestions on a mod to get rid of it we would really appreciate it. Tomorrow is the drag portion so we need all the power we can get. Boost right now climbs to 10psi initially and then creeps to 12psi before the fuel cut kicks in. This is usually around 3700rpm. Anyone with any suggestions please chime in......on with the pics.
