I briefly looked at the pressure plate. It seems to be ok, but I will go over more thoroughly when I get some down time from work. Here are some pics:

A quick update while waiting for parts. Got the IC mounted and some of the piping secured.

Ran into a bit of a problem today. Trying to remove the old sway bars and couldn't quite get to the endlinks without removing the tires. Well I have locking nuts, but for the life of me I can't find the lock key. So now I'm hoping McGard can find and send me a replacement. For $20 and once I receive it, I know I'll find the lost one! :D

McGard is shipping me a replacement key for my locking lugs. So I won't have to cut them off! :D

Shipment finally arrived. They were at the border for a while and then because of Canada Day there was no mail delivery. Anyhow, on to the goodies:

New Clutch disk:

Looking great dude!
One thing i couldn't help but notice is it looks like you utilized the fender pipe support strap to secure one of your new IC lines.
Please line the support strap with at least duct tape so it doesnt wear a hole into your IC pipe.
Hockey stick grip tape is a good choice too, its thick soft sticky and comes in many colors

Yum, new parts, Git'r Done!

Thanks for noticing Dave. I thought it would be okay as they are both aluminum and it is very sturdy. However, I like to err on the side of caution. And I just so happen to have hockey stick tape. I am Canadian!! :D

For Dave:

And I used Rodel's method of mounting my gauges. Hope you don't mind Rodel:

It definitely doesn't look as good as his, but I like it and it'll do for now.

Glad to see you put the tape on Ron. It looks good! When I saw that, I thought you had just mocked up the fit. You're good now though. ;)

I like the gauges. What are they?

Nice wrap job on that support!
History lesson :D :
When i first did my IC charge line hardpipe, it was in very close proximity to the sway bar (whiteline).
I didn't anticipate loading the suspension would create contact between the two.
6 months later during an oil change, i noticed the sway had rubbed halfway through the pipe.
Lesson is vibration and dissimilar materials is more work for me later.

I like location of the gauges.
Hope you don't mind, i picked up prosports last week and plan a similar setup.
Now to see Rodel's idea...

Edit:
Back from Rodel's beauty.
Do something about your gauge bezels, that silver is throwing you off.

That's really good info because I'll be installing my whitelines soon. I'll be sure to wrap that part of the IC pipe.

I don't mind at all if you put them there. After all its Rodels idea. I think he's started a trend. :)

I was thinking of painting them. The gauges aren't connected yet so it'll be easy to take them out and paint the bezels. By the way, its just sheet metal cut down to size. Its a budget bezel. :D

And this is how far I got this weekend:

p1588403_1.jpg

Got the tranny mounted. Just have to bolt the pressure plate into place and then hoist and drop.

Thanks Ken. Totally missed your post. I like the tape look and I have to thank Dave for the idea!

Not sure what the gauges are. I got them from a local supra owner. They're a no-name brand I guess.

I should've been more specific. Sorry... I was wondering what they monitor. :)

As far as the Pressure Plate is concerned, I found it much easier to install the clutch with the tranny off. I know you've already got it bolted up; but, with it off, you can easily torque the bolts to spec and in the correct tightening pattern without having to rotate the engine to access every bolt through the inspection plates. Which is a pain in the butt!

Just a thought... ;)

Oh. LoL. They're water temp, oil pressure, boost and A/F gauges.

That would've been much easier. I'm sure you're supposed to install the clutch first andd then bolt up the trans. I just figured I would put everything back in reverse order. Doh! Why didn't you tell me before? :D Ah well its not too big a deal to torque the pp down with the trans bolted. Just a little back and forth and 15 minutes. Thanks man!

I wish, but unfortunately I'm at work today. Got softball tonight, so it probably won't happen then either. :( Hopefully I can "work from home" tomorrow and git'er done. ;)

Well I did a little more today. Unfortunately not enough to get her hoisted.

Bolted the pressure plate in. Engine and trans are bolted together and torqued.

Drilled and tapped a 1/8 NPT hole in the side of the water outlet for the Water Temp Probe.

Here are some pics:

First time I ever tapped. Surprisingly it was very easy. Tell me if you think there will be any problems with the location of it.

As you can see, one of the sensor snapped on me. I'm now looking for a ECU Coolant Sensor. I think!

Got the broken sensor out. Just used the right size hex bit and it came out nicely.

Then I started to hoist and drop the engine into place. Still working on it, but should have her in place soon.
