Spec PT, baby! (need a trans that will shift before I go spend that cash, though.)

I've been rolling the T56 idea in my head, but I'm not sure if I can make the speedo and ABS sensor work with it :(

I did one pull at wastegate boost ~18psi and made 486hp, 420tq.

New transmission, clutch, and driveshaft are the next things on the agenda.
I'm likely going to go to a 4" downpipe and 3.5" exhaust, 3" boost piping, a 4" intercooler, possibly a LIPP intake manifold (maybe a short-runner, not sure yet) And that wastegate will be recirculated to shut it up a bit.

Once the engine is tuned and consistant (read: I stop changing stuff) I'm going to see what bumper I want to put on the car (likely a shine unit with integrated lip) and then maybe paint the car.

Holy crap. Your clutch was definitely slipping.

Twin disk. :)

Would you like a V160, Alphi modified one to fit a 7M and BOLT UP without any issues. This was back in 2003 :)

Thanks Chris!

You're welcome! Seriously, the more I think about it, your numbers would be squarely into and exceeding anything I ever intended for my car! (Also being a 67mm makes this really interesting... of course, I am strictly piggy-backing with the alphabet!:yikes:)

I'm actually "super secretly" hoping to roll my car on the chassis drums at a place I was referred to this week! Just three baseline pulls scheduled at the moment, and I'm going to roll 'em without really doing anything to the car, beyond what I run as a daily setting right now. I don't want to "pop it", and I'm not wanting to be greedy for a number, just know the number for how it pulls NOW on the street the way I drive it regularly with pump gas.:)

I'm debating three different boost levels or two and a third pull as the "joker" where I MIGHT hit the trigger on 2~3psi over the first couple if they pull clean and hard. I'm thinking do a 16psi for starters, bump it to 18psi for the hard numbers. (I usually run at 12psi and hit the manual mode for 16psi as my "high" hit... but set the SCRAMBLE for +2psi on either of those off the trigger.;)) I'll be running it PIG-RICH likely as well... since that's where I'm at on the street most of the time to be really "safe". (It's not like I'm squirting fuel out the pipe... I'm meaning in the 11's on the afr's at the leanest under full load.)

Your video is really inspiring me at the moment! We'll see if the appointment comes together this Saturday morning as planned.:biglaugh:

If Ian hadn't sold his group-A prepped rear drivetrain (had 3:1 gears iirc) and I was a baller like him I'd be all over it. Unfortuntely a V160 uses 3.2:1 gears to operate properly :'( That's why the T56 is such an appealing swap- but I require a speedo and ABS to operate(brake balance is way off the the ARZ fronts and stock rears, but I want to fit a 15" rim back there).

Edit: Chris- I think you would love the hell out of an event like Powercruise- I did it this past weekend and am still dreaming about it. 3 days of car flogging and track driving <3 <3 <3

Yeah, I REALLY wanted to have him load that assembly on a pallet and QUANTAS AIR it to my front door!

Heck, I'm happy with the parts I got, and I still have some to bolt up eventually!:biglaugh:

How's your temperature's in MN right about now? Are you "IN" the HEAT DOME like the rest of us??? ...I'm curious what numbers will be in the high temp. and humidity, and how they will be (or not) "corrected" for sea level and conditions. (I swear the car picks up 50hp with cool, crisp, intake charge temps!)

What is your ultimate power goal, Steve?

No real power goal, just go until I feel 'done'

Based off of what I've done driving so far, it seems like the car is getting close. Just trying to get the most out of what I already have installed and trying to get rid of restrictors.

I agree with morning air being the best- makes the whole intercooler system work better imo.

How big is the core on yours? I have a 3" now, but would like a 4". Also trying to find out if bar/plate or tube/fin would suit what I plan on doing better than the other.

In other news, I ordered a new transmission and driveshaft, should be here sometime next week! No more missed 2nd or 3rd gears! Just need to decide whether or not to go for the gusto and buy the clutch kit or if I should wait until next year for that... so much stuff to do still!

*New, used. RacerXJ220 had it all. Not sure what I'm going to do with the old one quite yet. Might tear it down and inspect it, might be jumping on that Speed-for-sale trans rebuild sale if I don't feel like measuring everything(plus the MC goodies), and might be rebuilding it myself. Heck, I might buy a brand new one from Toyota if Jeff's doesn't turn out to be better.

I'd really like to get my hands on some kind of sequential shifting dogbox transmission, but that would likely cost me another whole car to buy and fit up lol.
