Aeromotives 340 pump carries a full 1 year warranty from the date of purchase, (where the one you linked Ian only carries a 7 day warranty), and is 100% compatible with E85. Like I said the 340 pump was just released in january.

Not trying to step on toes just making comparisons.

No toes stepped on here was just a suggestion on my part, Steve is smart enough to make his own decision based on what he needs.

For sure!
These pumps are very new to the market, so it should be interesting what happens in a year or so with the competition.

And everyone of them gets tested after assembly.

Update! ...or not :/
Cams: Still on their way <--BC 272's
Cam gears: ordered <--Fidanza
Brakes: Ordered <--ARZ willwood kit FTW
Suspension: maybe tomorrow?

And that's all for now. Finally figured out a budget plan for the mods this spring, so that is good! Plan is as follows

Install Cams/gears
Install tasty brakes
Unseize/replace suspension adjustments
Poly bushings where seized
ST swaybars
Alignment
Fuel injectors, pump, lines
Clutch (Spec twin plate PT trim  )
Driveshaft

Professional Tune (only once everything is set in stone, I might be changing turbos/manifolds)

Finally look-good stuffs (rims/hood/bodywork/paint)

Sounds like a fun season to me!!

Steve, what made you decide on the Spec twin plate clutch? As a man with future clutch issues I have read a lot. How much torque can one hold? I too have thought about bushing replacement. I know Sean replaced some of them already.

It looks like you are upgrading big time. Yes, it is addicting.

Sean- sometimes you just have to say no...

Dan- I drove (and really liked) an RPS carbon-carbon clutch I had put into a mk4 at the shop, so once Spec came out with a carbon twin plate I figured it would be a great upgrade from the 3+ I'm runnign now. Problem is if I do a no-lift shift, the 3-4 change equals clutch slippage. 1-2 and 2-3 chirp or burn the tires so the clutch can't slip then.
I'm still waiting on SPEC on the details of the twin plate cluthes, but if the info I have is correct, the P-trim is a carbon graphite setup that should hold 1100 ft-lbs, way more than I expect on making, but the super twins range from 900-1400 ft.lbs tq rating.

As for the bushings, they will likely need to be replaced due to rust D: I will be putting in the eibachs and Illumina2's soon and an alignment will be needed, so if they are seized I'll have to cut them out. Nice thing is poly bushings is a natural way to go since its a needed part, cheaper than OEM, and is an upgrade!

Steve: I know the RPS carbon clutches are expensive. How expensive are the SPEC's? 900-1000 ft-lbs is more than enough. I just hate to loose drive-ability . My set up right now is decent, but this isn't going to last me long at my h/p range.

Price I'm running into is around 1700 for the whole clutch kit. It comes with the flywheel, cover, discs, a combo slave/throwout bearing, and a clutch master cylinder with lines. In all reality its a lot of stuff for not too much cash! If anything I'd aim for one of the middle two since the top model says not good for street driving, and you def. don't want to under prepare.. I will keep you informed if/when SPEC gets back to me!

Rob- idk what 'dips' are, unless you're talkin dippin' dots, but you can surely call dibs on the clutch- it don't matter a bit to me :p
But no, its not smoked. Just slips a bit on 3-4 no-lift-shifts at 20lbs :)

Dan- I have talked with the spec guys all day and I think I have a handle on what the super twins have to offer! The SS (base) is a full-faced organic/kevlar disc, the PT is a carbon-graphite puck disc (puck clutch with stage 3+ material), ST is a full-faced carbon-graphite disc (identical to my stage 3+), and the E is a twin disc sintered iron disc set, like the stage 5.
The main 2 I'm looking at are the PT and the ST. What they said is that the ST is a good long-lasting clutch, but the discs' weight mandates slower shifts. SInce I like quick snick-snick shifting I'mma go with the PT trim to cut some weight out of the driveline and even go with an AL driveshaft whenever I change out the clutch. Based off of how you drive, I'd say the PT would be a good choice for you as well. They even have MK3 1JZ swap setups too, so you're covered!

In other news I dropped my spare valve covers off to be powder coated, should be pretty sweet when they're done!

Your clutch choice sounds really good, especially with the other parts included. It's still about $700 less that the OS Giken triple disc with the push-pull conversion.

Wish I would have known that you were buying BC 272's, I have a brand new set on the shelf, bought them originally for the build before I changed to Rich's billet cams, still in the box never opened. I offered them to Kenny for $500 and I hope he can use them.
