So they aren't race series, but Duraglide 780's. Not sure if they're the same or not, but these ones tested out very similar as far as clearances go. Nothing less than .001, nothing more than .002. These bearings are made by/stamped with ACL's emblem, the ones I pulled were made by NDC.

Ran the car today after getting everything put back together and it runs well still. Lots of oil in the exhaust due to being upside-down for a couple days, but it is wearing off quickly.

Tomorrow is my dyno tune, so we will finally see what kind of power I am making with this setup as it stands now!

lol, not really. It did make 408.1hp/386tq at the wheels on DB's Dyno dynamics dyno so I'm extremely happy! I'll have the graph up soon.

A couple- I had the boost control solenoid ports mixed up so that was causing a lot of lag, and my PCV started spitting oil after 2 hours of tuning. Fixed the boost solenoid by swapping pipes, and added a custom catch can (read, Sean's lipton bottle) to keep the oil off of Shane's rollers. Made it on 17psi of boost running 10.8-11.3 afr's. It is much nicer to drive now and it responds very well too. I'm very happy.

Very nice bud!!!! 386tq at the wheels is a very fun street pounder. I wonder what 272's would do to your #'s?

One question, why only 17 lbs? You should be able to run more then that on pump gas (no???) with Shane's eagle ear's and head phones listening and tuning her in.

EDIT: I forgot to ask how your clutch held up, Im guessing very well? since I didn't read "the clutch wouldn't hold the power of the mighty 7m"

Your going to have to post in my thread (so I remember and can easily look back) what you have again,

Yeah, he was fairly unhappy with how noisy my internals are- had a hard time telling what was knock and what was normal noise. When we cranked it up to 19/20lbs the AEM started to pull timing + added fuel, which means it was seeing knock, so we backed off to 17 and pulled timing to be safe. In all actuality, the very most power it made was 425hp, but I'm fairly sure that doesn't count towards the HP list since it isn't the real power output of the engine.

I'll post this info in your thread too, but I am running an Spec Stage 3+ clutch. It's a full-faced clutch, looks to be a feramic-type material, but it engages really nicely and holds all the power. It's rated for 525tq (I think) so I have lots of room to grow. Now I just need better tires in the rear so I don't spin!

EDIT: might as well link up my last dyno pull. Please disregard the oil smoke- the PCV system was having issues atm. **This video DOES NOT accurately represent just how loud this car is at all! I was absolutely floored when I stood behind it and listened for 2 pulls! I will never going WOT with a cop behind me, EVER!

Major change! I am no longer a pump gas user!
Tonight I drained my tank (1.5 gallons left) and filled up with E-85! Got a nice idle and startup map made up, then scaled my pump gas tune to make up for the extra fuel needs for running corn. Running 10.5-11.3 under boost currently, and added timing (no knock yet!). Bigger fuel system needed to run more boost for sure, but I haven't run out of pump yet at 17psi! Thinking about a Fuel lab Prodigy pump and filter, because I hear they are very quiet. Probably some 1000 injectors, and another dyno tune in my future as well!
1st gear now easily spins, 2nd gear is also spinning above 5500! Time for better tires, too...

Steve, right on! You can already see the difference. For me the biggest thing to get used to was the smell. It doesn't smell at all like gas. Huge difference at the pump. I am sure between your skills and Sean's skills your car will be pulling a hell of a lot harder. Now get some tires. The Dunlop Direeza's I have so far seem to be a good choice.

e85 :( .

But you need to stay ahead of some other guy's gray supra :biggrinki :biggrinbo :burnout:

Your going to make me spend even more $$$$ now. :icon_mad:. Maybe I should go for improving the supra's looks instead of more power!! :2ar15:

Have you already forgotten? Swappable maps > piggybacks. I can quit whenever I want, too :D

And all you need is a hood re-paint and a hood liner to be all pretty and such.

But seriously, you should take another ride in it. I have 15 degrees more timing in it and still no knock at 16lbs. 1st gear spins, 2nd gear spins, 3rd chirps. Not quite as bad as Sean, but you get the idea... Brake boosting is downright scary, too!

Street tune: Done (mostly) I'm nearly out of injectors (85% duty cycle) and probably close to out of pump. Next upgrade will be some 1100 Fuel injector clinic (or similar) injectors and a fuel lab pump. I'll get some videos of it soonish...

lol Rob- you'll understand when we take a drive. Just got new tires for my Avalon 17's so I have a little more grip now, but I'm only back the where my pump gas tune was for traction...running 21/22lbs right now. We had it higher, but I backed off a bit (again, for safety). I'm amazed that this TT pump is keeping up as well as it is! Just about maxed out on injectors, though (85% duty cycle). Probably going to need to get some 1100/1200's soon as well as a bigger pump.

I'm using a P-trim wheel, and we had cut the ID of the housing to correct a clearance problem with the wheel. It was rubbing due to a slight eccentricity of the center cartridge so we just cut to housing to match. Didn't have the turbo cutting out, just had a raspy noise on startup- wheel touching the housing. Fixed now!
