Yeah, I like that it basically replaces my whole clutch system in one shot, and with stuff that's engineered to work well together!

Yeah, well I can't say that I'm happy about missing out on your cams, but I am happy that Ken gets to use them :) He should be making some serious power soon! (I really hope he goes standalone to get the most out of those cams) Who knows, getting rid of the stock engine control and ignitor might also help out with that strange misfire he's been having...

Yes I think Kenny will be real happy with the 272's, I know he's sorting out springs now. My sense is that he's going to end up with an AEM which should pull everything together for him.

Got it dialed in pretty good tonight, generally running rich across the board, but all within reason. Response is vastly improved, boost comes on well, and only a couple rich-AFR related stumbles left to sort out!

Also, got raced by an Eclipse (license plate WAPSHHH?) and a civic sedan, beat them both! Good vibes from the Supra!

I love this car more and more every time I drive it!

lol i was just bored and reading through this thread. that eclipse is a green talon i believe. and it my buddy jeremys.

Cool deal, that was about 2 weeks after I had gotten the car running for the first time, and it was the night we had put the AEM into it. As we were running, Sean was tuning the fuel map so the car just kept getting faster and faster. Oh, I remember the days of that CT26 comin online at 1800 rpm...nowadays its more like 3800 :nono:

Ya Sean, I also know if pops engines faster than coolant plugs blowing out :p
srsly, co-worker has blown his engine 3x due to nitrous issues, I think I would rather make my name a sham rather than make my engine go bam. Hopefully these 272's will get her pumpin a bit sooner like Ian thinks they will :D

You could always get a spool valve and a t4 setup, or just get a divided housing and weld a flapper setup to the housing. (that is my plan with the T6)

What are you nuts?

If I were you I would just call comp and send them your turbo minus bolt on housing and have them sell you a T4 housing of your choice, it is plenty capable of what you want and you will take a red head beating selling it used.

That thought has also crossed my mind, were I to do that I'd be getting a billet 62 upgrade at the same time. But at this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do, so I'm just going to stick with the plan as it is, and see how the car acts this year with the stuff that's lined up. If you will recall, your 74 was online about the same time my 61 comes up...this is rather irritating for me, as you might imagine... but I'm just thinking out loud at this point.
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out sethron's exhaust manifold he has/had FS- so pretty imo.

Exhaust side done. I'm a cold, sore person right now, and I have to do it again tomorrow night on the intake side! Got .010" clearance set on all 12 valves, and it took a lot of fiddling. These valves shall not make noise and they shall make powah!!!

Sorry, no can do, it's not mine. It's owned by the dealership I work for. I just borrow the box for shimming and pay for the new shims I use.
