On that note iv finally come to a complete agreement with myself on what im going to do. after spending the last week resarching on engines im going to go with drum roll please........a 2J..... why...because i might as well do i once get it right. Im going to throw my 7m back in the car once its fixed untill i get some money together. Im going to single that way I dont have to "play" with the firewall. and im going to go with the R154, 1Jz flywheel, and bell houseing,

I do have a few questions that I would like the people with First hand experince what Diff should I go with.

Im looking for a LSD, deicent hwy drive Rpm, i was thinking the 4.10 or the 4.30 any others i should be looking at?

Edit:Im still looking for a fairly local importer that i can get a full clip off of so if anyone in BC knows of anyone please let me know thx.

I have a 4 30 LSD if you want, and also a 2 inch exhaust and muff for your NA. It was off another NA car I had. It as 2 inch exhaust after cat and on the muff it is a phat 4inch out. Stainless... I think it might be an HKS. The LSD has low km and was out of an automatic. It was not thashed on. LMK if you want to see pics.:naughty: I will sell to you cheap as I am in a good mood and need space in my garage. If you don't I will post on the For Sale section...:icon_razz

well I priced that line from Champion Toyota. It was like $225or $275. Either way is was totally rediculous! You can either get a braided line from Driftmotion for $100 or if you have a hydraulic shop near you, you can get the a new rubber line put on yours. Good luck

:aigo: your kidding right^ i really hope you are.

toby should i get the fly wheel reserfaced?
No im not kidding! I was kinda suprised at first to. But when you think about it, it is a toyota part and it is high pressure. That why I would have to go through complete hell trying to remove something before I cut it. Try finding a hydraulic shop and get both hose ends replaced since you have to take it off anyway. But I bet it will cost you more to do that then to get a new braided line made up like driftmotion sells. Or just buy theres. Its $100 cheaper

Getting a FW resurfaced is only like 40 bucks, so it's worth it IMO. But, if you don't have any burn marks (like a deep blue/black metallic look) or cracking on the surface (you shouldn't be able to catch your thumb nail on anything) then it'll be OK.

But then again, if you want that clutch to last like it's supposed to and to break in evenly then just get it done :)
