That's good news.

Well, we went out for a cruise last night. With my wife and son came with me. Yeah, we do it up illegal style. After cruising around for a bit my wife was asking me what all do I need to do to get it legal and road worthy. She really enjoyed cruising in it last night. I'm hoping by the end of this month, or possibly early next month it'll be on the road. Don't quote me on that. I still need to paint the bumper and mirrors.

Yeah, it looks like it. They're notorious for doing that. They're short lived trees that grow big fast, but die fast too. The roots on those trees like to spread out and burst plumbing pipes and break slab foundations. If you ever plant one on your property you have to be very considerate of where you're going to place them. Most poeple plant Ash trees and Oak trees close to each other and at the same time. The Ash will take off like a beanstalk while the Oak takes longer to grow. The Ash provides shade much sooner than the Oak. When the Ash starts to deteriorate around 25-30 years and fall apart they get the chop. By that time the Oak tree would be big enough to provide shade and will continue to live another 150+ years. Letting an Ash tree stand longer than 30 years will result in big ass branches falling on your property. They can damage your house and cars.

I made my own gasket with that felpro gasket material, and rtv. It's holding just fine.

Had a little fun out back on the farm roads behind my neighborhood. This was just a little run from 1st to 3rd gear. 20-70mph. It wasn't really going all that fast. More noise and wheelspin than anything else. Short shift to second gear, had to throttle 2nd cause the car was going a little sideways, and granny shifted to third up to 70mph.
