Rings all the right way up?

i looked for markings on the rings, because i know they are suppose to go a certain way... but there was NOTHING that was screaming "put me up"...

the last set of piston rings i did, they had to go a certain way... but these were different... just flat sides, and flat edges. Its whatever probe sells with there pistons i guess. there were no instructions for the rings either.

They're NPR rings if that makes a difference.

Edit: I just took a look at these rings and there is a dot. On the same side marked N100.

and there were no instructions with the rings either... just chillin in the box.

unless who i bought them from switched out the rings, which i'll go look back through the pics, but im pretty sure they were the ones meant for this car. lol

I have a set of probes sitting on the shelf.

With the dish volume, i'm taking my time thinking if i'm going to use them or not.

I think I, probably got the second batch or first batch.

I know a few sets have total seals and the others have NPR's.

If that helps. But if they're in they're in!

its what i assumed...

zum, could you take pics of your rings? because i have a picture of mine in the clear plastic wrap stuff, and i wouldnt mind comparing... i might even have the little bags too..

the whole assembly turns smooth as butter. i find it to be rather amazing.
i ordered my head gasket, so that should be here soon enough.

IJ - first off, are you still on the stock oil pump system? i've been debating between using the OEM metal hose, or getting the DM oil pump hose... what are you thoughts on this?

Your build looks just like mine. Same pistions, rods, timing belt, ect. You go new OEM pump, shimed 7mm, driftmotion oil hose thing, like mine also??? Did you find my photobucket????? JK, I'm still wating on my head to get back form the shop. I'm having it rebuilt with all the goods; port polish, BC stage 3 cams, springs and 1mm larger valves. Even my cam covers are power coated black like yours. LOL You engine is looking good, way to go. Great minds think a like. P.S. thank you for the DP.

still using the OEM pump... all of the clearances were still on the OEM low side, so i said why bother... although i did shim it 5mm. as 5mm puts you right at where you want to be, 7mm just makes it a little higher...

thinking of either going with the driftmotion oil hose or just using the OEM line... im going to measure how wide the oem pump is first, because if that AN isnt any bigger, theres no sense in investing in a smaller "shiny" hose...

no powdercoat, just bbq paint. haha.
and i found no need to do all of that head stuff as im shooting for 400-500hp and the OEM head can easily do that...

what rings you got are the ones that i received with the kit DM send me...There are alot of rings that go either way..atleast chryslers that i work on have rings like that...My NPR's came with numbers on one side so i put them facing up as per TRSM...
