So today was just a little bit of fiddling around with little stuff, and taking note of what gaskets/ fasteners I still need.
When I pulled the old motor, I dumped alot of tranny fluid on the floor, and though the kitty litter soaked it up, I was getting tired of the stank,
so it was time to pull the car out and sterilize the garage floor again.
This is the first time my car's been out of the garage in over 6 months, and then it was only out long enough for me to pull the intercooler system.
Tomorrow I have to work, but regardless, we're getting to the point where I have to take a break, while I get another batch of parts in.
This time, I need the clutch, a Spec 2+. I originally had planned on tearing apart the tranny and "Marlin-Crawlin" all over it, but since it hasn't given me any grief, I think I'll save the money and the downtime to push on and finish up reinstalling the drivetrain. I have a LONG road still ahead in this department; Still have to:
Select/ purchase the turbo
Purchase the intercooler kit
Wire in the MAFT pro
Replace the Walbro 342 for either a 400 or an Aeromotive stealth.
Do the fuel pump relay mod.
But at least I can reinstall the motor tranny once I have the clutch.
