Yeah, I know alot of people get away with removing the damper without detriment, but since it doesn't degrade performance, I'd rather keep it.
ps- the part is made by unisteer(part #8021550), and was originally intended as a power steering rack connector. Got it from Summit racing.

Did some more small things today.

Installed the power steering pump. I had rebuilt it awhile ago, but never ran it, so it's essentially new.
Installed the fuel injectors and rail(after polishing it, Absolute Speed).
Installed Gates racing belt, front lower cover and the ATI super damper.
Decided to replace the idler pulley bearing. I wasn't going to, but it felt a little tight, though not rough.
The replacement pulleys are around $25, but I just popped out the old bearing and ordered that for $4.00 shipped.

Anyway, today's pics:

PS- The steering pump pulley will be tossed, in favor of a Driftmotion billet set(PS, Alt. and waterpump), that should arrive tomorrow.

Me too.
It's all degreased now, but I have to get it over to my friend John's house and HOPE it fits into his powdercoating oven.

You've got an "an" SS line coming out of the top of the thermostat housing... where does that go? I thought there was a sensor/vacuum thingy that went to the charcoal canister normally...

Yeah, the spot that it takes just replaces the outlet that normally went to the turbo's coolant line.
But if you look where the two sensors are on the side of the coolant elbow, there is one untapped boss that I intend to drill out
so that I can add an additional overtemp sensor.

The bvsv will still be located in the t-stat cover.

Got some little parts in the mil today:
m3.6 screws for the butterfly in the throttle body, DM pulley kit, CPS rebuild kit, Prothane strut rod bushings(but those are for the MR2), and an M14x1.25 tap.

Turns out the screws(from Hong Kong) for the throttlebody are 6mm in length instead of 8mm, so they won't work. figures.
BUT, the pulleys look nice.

Screw the outer O-ring... It's that inner seal that turns hard as a rock and leaks...

Was out of town for a few days, but got a couple of little things in the mail today, including the new bearing for my idler pulley.
Pressed that in and now it rolls smoothly.
Also got these- BIC poly engine mounts:

Picked them up used on Ebay for cheap, from a guy parting out a Supra.
Edit- Oh! Just realized he's on the forums too- Tonyphip.
Next up has to be the final powdercoating of the various engine parts, including the intake manifold, because there's nothing else much to do
to the motor till I get those completed.

LOL.
You're the one that referred me there a couple years ago. But no, I didn't get it from them.
I realize that the pic of that bolt makes it look like it has a conical washer, but it's actually just a flat washer at the base of a standard, stainless socket head bolt.

Nice work. I was under the impression that the biggest restriction was the pulsation dampener itself. I took a look at it and its a strange connection, doesn't work like a standard banjo fitting/bolt. There are four openings on the underside of the sealing surface of the dampener, and fuel flows into these holes, then out of the center of the bolt into the rail. I do like your set up though.

You may be right about the restriction, but initially I won't be going for massive power, just 350-400.
If I find that I wanna go higher later, I may have to reconsider the use of the FPD perhaps. But since I'll already be AN6 right to it, it'll just be a matter of swapping out to a different rail fitting.

Got the coolant pipe back from the welders. All they did was put a thick patch over the area where the rear passenger side nipple used to be.

One less thing...
