Well thats true as I can see that he is a great help with a wealth of knowledge about these installs obviously. But dont discount the fact that you are doing a thread and putting everything into words and pics, which is going to be a great asset for the community in the future to get through a job like this. Hats of to both of you then!

Thanks, very kind....

MILESTONE!!!

The motor set is in, & life is good! I installed the feed lines from Aarons & Joses kit & it fit's fantastic. Plumbed the turbos for the Profec also. Long day, but very productive...

Yeah, it went together much smooooother this time, but it was a pain in the ass getting the motor in. I had to call Aaron for some tips as the rear turbo is so close to the firewall, you have to lower, tilt, push, lower, tilt, push, lower, tilt, push the damn thing in. there's A lot less space then you have with a 7M.

I should be able to get the IC piping in, along with a lot of other stuff done tomorrow. Time is ticking away, so I'm like a fly lately, always on top of shit. :biglaugh:

man that has got to be an awesome feeling. Congrats Rak. I cant wait to be in your position. Mine is a long time coming though. You mean you installed that thing by yourself? I wouldnt even attempt a 7m alone. Also that engine bay looks toooo clean. You resprayed that correct? Did you do it or have it done? And I didnt even think about that rear turbo getting in the way. I will have to remember that when I pull mine out. AWESOME!!

Rakkassan, how did you get your pipes so clean looking? I was thinking about getting a buffing wheel of some sort for a grinder and try to clean mine up. What did you use for yours? It looks very clean.....................

I sand blasted them. Look close & you can tell which one I forgot to take with me. :biglaugh: I'll have to take it off & blast it too, it really sticks out.

I'm going to call around tomorrow and see if I can get someone to powdercoat mine in a chrome look or a silver or something like that. I don't know how much powdercoating will cost, but it seems easier than buffing.

Just about done. Well, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel at least :biglaugh:

IC piping is done (minus having the Tial BOV flange welded on), the radiator & fan is in & the PS line is hooked up*.

*I have the MKIV PS line. There's a small bung at the top, on the side of the flange, is that supposed to be capped off? There isn't anything attached to my old flange, so I'm stumped...

LOL, I'm sure it would be faster than polishing them....
