Thanks guys. I appreciate the support. It keeps me going!

Well the motor is in! I dont understand why they dont make these engine hoist with a longer reach. Me and my help were really having to finagle to get that thing back far enough to set down on the mounts. We were so into that part of it that we didnt notice the firewall eating up the back edge of my nicely powder coated valve covers!:icon_evil Oh well lessons learned and its done now. Now comes the chore of hooking everything up. Had the driveshaft and tranny all bolted up and went in the car to put it in gear so I could tighten the crank bolt. Should I even tell? I forgot to put the gear shift housing back on the tranny before we put it in. The fix wasnt near as bad as I thought it would be. I unbolted the tranny support and dropped it down and it slid in from the top. I thought it was going to take alot more than that.

I also realized that I was missing a connection on the tranny., So I had to go look at my other R154 to figure out what was missing. The speed sensor. This tranny im using has a plug there. The car it came from must not have had ABS and mine does. So I removed it from my other tranny. QUESTION. How do I remove the plug? It looks like a small freeze plug. How are freeze plugs removed? Im tired. IM going to bed. Will try to post pics soon!

I got it out. IJ told me how. Just took a sharp screwdriver and punched through it and then pryed it out. Then stuck my sensor in. Not hard at all.

I got my slave cylinder in and blead. That took too much time as my hard line was bent all wrong. It was not bent in the shape it should have been. I dont remember if I did that for some reason or not.:3d_frown: Hooked up my fuel line for my AFPR. Rerouted my oil return line as the supply and return together were to thick to put where I wanted. One was hanging down below the subframe which I did not like at all! I could see me running over something and piercing that thing and losing oil pressure immediately. Started on my lower intercooler pipe but didnt finish. I got it almost knocked out today. Im going PVC temporarily until I can get a new cooler. Im not sinking alot of money into a set of pipes and then have to change the setup when I get my new cooler. My dark blue car with the rod knock has the lower PVC and has been fine since I have had it.

I think JAV had this same issue with his tranny, or something like it...
STFU YOU!!
Nah not quite like that. :icon_razz
My sensor was just missing.
You should be able to just take a screwdriver and pop out the plug like a freeze plug or you could run without it. Up to you really.

I had this reply sitting on my screen while I went to lunch, thought I posted it. :biglaugh:

yeah I got it out with a screwdriver. Let me give a quick update while Im here. Im spending every available minute trying to get this ready for the startup this weekend. Most stuff is hooked up. My lower intercooler pipe is done. Im basically just trying to refigure how things get hooked up and cleaning up parts as I need. Im real close. Will install my downpipe and misc other things tomorrow. Im shooting for starting on Sunday!!

does anyone know where the nipple on the bottom of the accordian turbo hose gets hooked to? Im assuming the other fitting on the vacumm fitting on the PS pump. Im still trying to figure out how im going to hook up the vent tubes coming out of the vavle covers. I really dont want to hook it up like stock but I might have to.

To heck with starting it up sunday. I want to hear it run now..............:biglaugh:

Good luck with the rest of the finaggling. I think she'll start up and purr like a kitten on the first try. Don't forget to remove the EFI fuse to get the oil pumping first.

Those boys look awesome. I have two girls myself, but would love to have a son. It's not going to happen though.............

I don't want to know what you were doing that would cause you to take your pants off in the empty engine bay. I guess you and your wife are still pretty frisky........even after three boys........:biglaugh:

LMAO Jay. I will haaaave to tell my wife that one. She will love it!! Actually I put those down to sit on when I was cleaning and stuff. Im sure you probablly dont believe me so I shouldnt have even told you.:biglaugh: And thanks for the comments about the kids guys. John my wife will enjoy your commment as well. They have been wearing me out about getting this thing going. We went to a car show yesterday and they got to sit in a Z06 vette. They loved it!

well guys its been a long day but to make a long story short. SHE LIVES!!. I buddy wanted to come over today to be part of the first start. Even after the party at his house last night. Pretty nice of him huh?:naughty: I stopped drinking early cause I was the designated driver. I also couldnt think about anything but getting this thing running today. Well other than the hot girls walking around. Including my wife of course!

Anywayyyy. I Didnt get it to start until about 8 p.m.. I was kinda pissed cause I could have got it running earlier B4 my buddy had to leave. We were trying to trace down what I thought was a problem. I'll tell you so you can get a good laugh. I was under the impression that most cars worked this way. Didnt know the supe was different. When I turned the key on I expected to get fuel pressure. When I didnt I started trying to trace the problem. I didnt know that the fuel pump doesnt pump until you start cranking the motor.:3d_frown: I was deep into my shop manual when that popped into my head. GRRRRR. Anyway I topped off all my fluids and decided to give it a try. Cranked my motor until I reached 10psi of oil pressure and then gave my starter a rest. Did that about 6 or 7 times. Then I put my EFI fuse back in and sure enough, pressure.

My oldest spotted a fuel leak early out of my AFPR. My fault, the line wasnt tight. The only other leak I have found so far is my new Driftmotion PS line. I'll look into that tomorrow. Fuel pressure is around 35 and seems to idle fine. Oil pressure is between 60 and 80 psi at cold idle.

It sound way mean!! Too loud for me actually. I wil probably have to get it toned down. Its got a BIC DP with 3" all way back and a test pipe. Has an apexi can. I will probably put a resonator on it or something. My wife video taped it. I will have to look into putting in on my puter and posting it.
