IJ, thanks for the compliment. It is going to be a great garage. Funky_monkey58 is out there right now pounding nails. He's a bit out of place but seems to be holding up alright.

Rob, I understand preparation is huge, so we will have it done professionally.

I think I got a total of 8 or so slivers today framing and putting up those walls, another week and a half and we will have it mostly complete as a shell of a building.
Then several days of wiring and a couple more of insulation work and then finishing work and she will be a great shop.

Haha, I'm a DSM'er, and by hanging out with you guys, I have realized that Supra's aren't that much different from DSM's in that they are money pits and constantly broken haha

Anything is for sale for the correct price.

This guy knows whats up. If someone offered me 6,500 for my Talon which has close to 20k into it over the last 5 years I would run my ass to the bank laughing!!

So Dan, when does this beast hit the dyno again?

Mike, as soon as we sort out the source of unwanted noise and an exhaust leak.

Here are a few more garage photos. She's starting to look like a real garage!

Yes, 30 x 50 with 12 ft walls. 3 doors, big one is for the hoist and shop end. The 2 smaller ones will be where my Supra and the diesel go this winter. We have a 20 x 30 ft. pad in the back where Sean will be parking his blown Supra until we are ready to yank out the 7m.
Shingles will be on this week. I am also going to be having the floor epoxy added before anything gets put on the inside. Next will be wiring and insulation. She has 2 x 6 " walls so we will be having a r-19 in them. The bathroom is going to be small and super insulated so this winter, it won't cost much to avoid freezing, as we don't plan on heating the shop every day. Big Reznor heater will be added as well. If you think working on a Supra is expensive, the excavation and road cost me almost 12K!!

WOW! That shed is EPIC! Not so much in the "hugeness" of it, but the adequacy of it's size and form to be the PERFECT MATCH for my dream building!

...I'll be settling for about half that and lower walls, but VERY happy if I can see THAT come to fruition!:p

Looking really nice!;)

Mike,
The guys finished off the shingles today. Tomorrow the windows, man door and framing around the 3 garage doors goes in. Next will be the siding. On Sunday the sheet rock guy, electrician, and I will be meeting and kicking around things.
If anyone here has a great way to light her up, inexpensive, please pm me asap. This whole shop is costing a lot, but I know it will be worth it.
I am also working on a 9K 2 post hoist, bathroom set up, lots of stuff to keep my busy.

The shed looks AWESOME Dan!!!!!

As for lights, I would just go with what ever 4' or 8' florescent lights you can find and put in plenty of them in there ;). You can always switch some off when you dont need all the light. I have just found out in the past there is never to much light in a garage. One nice thing with going with florescent you can get replacement bulbs and ballets cheap at Menards. (that is when one goes out).

For instance in my 22' X 22' garage, I have a total of 26 - 4' florescent light bulbs, and would like to add more.
