Lot's of good news to add;

1. 2JZ is up and running smooth. Sean and Steve, Drew did an awesome job. She still needs a good day of tweaking but I drove her today to my new house. Damn good oil pressure at idle was 40 lbs!

2. My car won MN Sport Compacts car of the month!!

3. Bought a new house today. My 87 is going to have to stay out side until we get a bunch of stuff packed away.

4. Found an awesome excavator to start my next garage project.

Really fucking tired after the last week. What a roller coaster ride. That damn Sean can work so hard when he wants to. Engine in and out in less than 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonight we are spending the night in our new home. BTW, Sean is driving his 7M. We got the last piece of piping hooked up today. What an animal. Boost coming on strong at 3000 rpms

Latest update: We finally have a better handle on the boost issues. Apparently when Sean and Steve dropped the engine back in a vacuum line that goes to the spool valve was pinched completely off. Sean unpinched it and she now boosts decently. In the process of sorting it all out, he found my cheap-o wastegate was leaking. He shimmed it with a new washer, and so I will run this until my new wastegate arrives on Tuesday. Hopefully this will help as well. Lastly, I still have an exhaust leak. It may be at the manifold but difficult to tell. Sean told me it took him longer to pull off the manifold last time than it did to pull the whole engine!! The leak is fairly loud upon cold start but quiets down a lot when she warms up. If it is pre-turbo, this also could be affecting boost. Plan on looking into this soon.
I am also having some cooling issues. Never have been 100% satisfied with the Adrenaline system. Tomorrow before the Supra meet, I plan on putting a block off plate on and adding some coolant along with the water. This hopefully will keep her cool enough. Tonight in town I did a couple of hard pulls and right away she started heating up. Cools right down once you stop boosting hard but I want more reserve than that. If all else fails, I will be putting a stock fan in along with a custom shroud.
Once we get her tweaked. I am heading back to the dyno. I know with 22 lbs we were at 550 rwhp. We still had to add some timing so we can really up the boost. I plan to have her pushed up to 30 lbs. All this tuning is getting expensive!!

We installed a new wastegate today and took her out for a spin. She boost really hard now, much quicker than before. I can get 17-18 lbs in first gear! We had her set a 25 lbs according to my gauge, slightly less on the AEM. She is really powerful again, now that we have it sorted out.Funky_monkey58 thinks she pulls almost as hard as his built 7M with big turbo. We will see. I do plan to install a 2 step manual boost controller though.
I am still having cooling issues after several hard pulls No over heating but up to 209 or so. Tomorrow we are pulling off the fan shroud and see what happens. I may just go back to stock 2jz fan.

Sean pulled off the fan shroud today and hooked the electric fans right to the radiator. After 10 miles or so, same heating issue. So he replaced the Moshimoto cap and put on the one off his Supra. Took her out again for more pretty aggressive driving and this time she stayed cool. So we will be replacing the cap with a heck of a lot better one. His is rated for 19 lbs, so I am going with the same. Hopefully this issue is resolved and I can concentrate on a bunch of other small issues.

You guys may want to try a lower-pressure radiator cap, those high pressure (like 19lbs), caps have a habit of blowing off radiator pipes. There is a very good chance yours was simply defective.

The issue is this Emilio, his cap was opening at too low of pressure making the water boil up and create air pockets which means instant over heating. The higher pressure raises the boiling point and keeps things happy, I run a 19psi cap with plenty of power and no radiator shroud and I have never seen the temps even in the middle of the gauge on a 90* day sitting in traffic.

I do understand *why* people put high pressure caps on their radiators, what pressure rating was the one that was removed from Dan's car? I've heard lots of bad reviews involving the Mishimoto caps, that's not to say all of them are bad (clearly yours is fine), but it would be interesting to see what a known-good low pressure cap does in the car.

(All of this is assuming Dan previously had the Mishimoto cap in his car, as it seems in the pictures)

Dan had the 19psi cap also, the problem is the cap wasn't holding enough pressure. A lower psi cap will just overheat in this application.

Rob, Here are a few. The garage is going to be 30 x 50 with 12 ft walls. Hoist and bathroom. Heated and floor will be epoxy coated. The house is just south of St. Cloud on Highway 15. You can see it is a big upgrade from the old shack. 2 story house with 4 bathrooms. BTW, what sold my old house was the garage and hoist. You and Amanda are welcome anythime for the grand tour and a few brews.

Thanks Emilio, it is nice but it taken a lot of work to get her up to speed, no one basically lived here for almost 2 years.

Tonight I took her out to see if Sean was correct about the cooling issue. I am happy to say with the new radiator cap she didn't over heat. Once I saw her creep up to just above half but right back down again. She is boosting hard right up to 26 lbs. With the spool valve I can get 15-17 lbs in first gear! I saw a Shelby Mustang out on the highway, tried to get him interested but he wouldn't even do a partial pull. I plan on driving her to work tomorrow and start daily driving her as much as I can. I just need to be able to get my boost controller issue figured out. Traction is very good with the Dunlops and this warm weather.

This is good news about the over heating.

I will continue kicking ass with Dallas and Ben building the new garage!

That is a very nice look place. The garage sounds and looks to be off to a AWESOME place to park your supra. We'll have to swing by some time soon here. Maybe this weekend i'll taek the supra out for a drive and see the place. BTW I just picked up a new phone, and unfortunately had to get a new number. Was WAY cheaper this way. Over a 4 hundo saving over trying to upgrade my old broken phone. I'll text you from my new number.

Thanks Rob, I have your new # recorded. Today the boys hope to have the walls up. Lot's of small problems as I think the crew is a bit rusty. But so far looks awesome. I had the guy who will put in my septic holding tank out today and the guy who will epoxy the floor was here as well. No price quote yet, but if epoxy is like everything else, it won't be cheap.

Well it isn't the cheapest, but very much is well worth it. EZ to clean, but if not taken care of it can peal, chip and ware away. I wonder how long your guy wants the concrete to dry before he coats the floor? For the best result and for it not to peal up, you want the concrete, as dry and clean as possible. (hint no cars, no mud on shoes, no oil, no oil covered parts, nothing that could stain or get "stuck" on the concrete. In the past working at Lake Region medical, the cleaner the surface the better it turned out.
