We got the Wilwood's on last night. The brake line stuff and valve to adjust front/rear % will come in today. Sean is going to tig weld the flange for the BOV tonight. We also need to figure out a new coolant line that runs behind turbo on the fire wall. I want a few as places to leak as possible. Pics on Sunday.

Tonight we are finishing up several issues before the Supra goes to cage builder on Wednesday.Interior is pretty much out. I am going with Chrome Molly roll bar with removable door bars. This will be certified to run down to 10.0. If we want to go faster, the full cage can be added to the bar. Not cheap but if I get into the 10's, it is essential.

Last year we had issues with the custom sump Sean built so tank is off and we will rebuild it similar to Sean's set up as we have identical tank and sumps. This is mine as on car now.

This is Sean's solution to the low gas issue. Next photo is return line.

Next is a pic of drivers side inner fender. Sean built a bracket where ignitor and coil drivers sit. Also did a wire tuck. HKS DLI will sit beside shock tower under hood.

Last photo is of Wilwood caliper and wheel. We added a line lock and a proportioning valve to control front/rear braking. I will eventually add MKIV rear calipers. Probably next year.

We still have plenty to do. Now if Comp would send me my new turbo we will have pretty much every thing ready. Then she needs a tune.

Looking good Dan. Good luck braking into the 10's. I'm guessing pretty soon you are going to have to get some racing slicks to get traction.

Rob, we are planning to upgrade to MT drag radials but first might as well burn off the Dunlops as they only have about 3K on them. Imagine, get into the 10s on street tires!

10's on street tire I have a feeling is going to be tough, at least on the streets. Maybe up at BIR where the track is already prepped you might not spin.

Rob,
Of course it will be tough. That's where the fun part begins. My SS traction bars help. Last year no traction problems at all but I didn't use the 2 step.

BTW, does your g-tech work? I bought a used one off of e-bay but have never played with it. Would love to learn how to use it or try yours.

Mine worked GREAT. But I had the first gen one. When I took it to Rockfalls in my nsx it read 13.49 and the time slip showed 13.51, so I would call it good enough for me. Speaking of it I need to get mine back from Mike in st. cloud that drives that silver sube, and a green talon/eclipse. I should see if there is a meet this thurs on mnsc. and head on up to it.

His name is Mike, his number is 763-286-1540.

You should head up to the meet this Thursday anyway, I think this will be the first real MNSC meet of the year.

Dropped off the Supra here last night.

Sean performed great as usual getting the car loaded onto trailer and chained down. We did knock off a piece of pain on the lower lip of front bumper when the car rolled off the trailer though. Now I have a good reason to take here in and get the paint tweaked. Also found out that my new turbo should be coming next week. So, I talked to Shane at DB yesterday and got a list of open times for the following week. Hopefully with in 2 weeks I will be spanking Rustangs again.

We got the car back from cage builder today. My assessment is an awesome job. What do you think. It's chrome moly. Certified down to 10 secs at the strip. Removable door rails. Only downside is my targa top will have to go into back seat from now on.

Also got word from Sean that Comp turbo will be ship[ping my turbo in a few days. I will have the first Comp Billet 67 TBB in the USA. We are scrambling to get car back together and down to dyno.

Scotty,
We left the seats in to simply assist Joe in welding the bars in position so they would not interfere with the rear seats and because I have no plans in removing them. My goal is to see how close I can come to running 10s just the way she is. I am also going to put the front ones back in that weigh 70 lbs a piece. Drive her to the track (60 miles) away, drive her home. Spank a few Corvettes and Rustangs along the way and at the strip. I suppose if I can't break that magical number, we may try a few runs with her stripped. Last year I was a complete novice, we were only at 21 lbs of boost, no 2 step engaged, and with the idea of not breaking her, still managed to run 12.3. The cage is a safety measure. Besides if I run 11.5 or faster they boot you from the track.
Tonight I will be cleaning the bars and then using some gray primer and gray paint to color them as close to the interior color as I can. I installed several sheets of stick on insulation to the drive train tunnel as well. Last year my leg would start to get hot after running around on a hot day.
And Rob, I am finally ready to do the rear sub box, I don't think her took away too much room.

Every one has some sort of first from comp turbo. IIRC this is now the 3rd time I have heard this, some thing is starting to smell like fish.
Ummm.....Targa top in your rear seat, = fail with major scratches.
You night as well not even carry it with now if it wont fit in the rear and just pry it wont rain. Leaving it on, well that equals unhappy driver and sweaty balls when the mercury goes north of 85 degrees with out A/C ;)

Rob, To be honest I don't think Sean even tried to fit it in there. It looks pretty close to me. If I have to carry it in the back seat. Will keep a blanket to wrap it in if need be. The cage really out weighs the small hassle for the targa in my book. Text me if your around this weekend, perhaps I can buy need lumber for the woofer box.
Sean told me that Comp called him today and that the wheel is in. They should have it assembled tomorrow and with a bit of luck I should have it early to mid next week.

Wow, I had no idea you guys were putting a cage in the car. It looks like nice work. How is your head clearance to the main hoop?
