NewGen, you are correct. This winter we will be venting her correctly. I just need to pull off the valve covers and get Sean to weld on a nipple on each side. Also plan on rerouting my IAC as well. Lot's to do before the big mid May MN Supra track day.

Any chance you would do mine also sean? :icon_razz if you would lemme know how much you'd charge.

I have tons of stuff to do also to get mine running. Tryin to figure out what to do for a fuel system at the moment :aigo:

I don't think it would be too much of an issue. How about you pay shipping both ways and supply the fittings you want welded in.

The fuel system will be dependent upon how much power you want to make and on what fuel type.

Sean, Do you think we have to weld this or can it be taped and threaded? How much are those 4 inch metal intake pipes from SS? I think we should order one up, weld on the nipple and then get it powder coated along with the new intercooler pipes.

Got my Greddy oil filter relocation kit in the mail today. It looks like the guy who had it didn't know how to properly use the high pressure lines as it was leaking. These dudes are expensive but got her for a great price.

I ran the Supra up and down the highway and to the store yesterday. Had a minor altercation with a Saleen Mustang. It's the Burgundy one that people say is run by a stuck up prick. It says 575 h/p on the side. Must be on the engine dyno? I ran him one good pull in 3rd gear. He took off first, I was at his rear bumper. By the time we had to shut them down because of traffic I was slowly gaining on him at the top of 3rd gear. I was running ony about 18 lbs of boost in a car with coil issues! I tried to get him to go out of town but he pulled off on an exit. Wait until I find his sorry ass in the spring!
Today I called my insurance agent and pulled the insurance down to comprehensive for the winter. There is a long list of things to do.
For anyone who is interested. I am selling off my turbo, downpipe, wastegate and manifold. Perfect fore the 2jz swap. Everything fits great. E-mail me for prices. Here is a video of the GT35dbb spinning. From a quick rev and then idle, then shut down. She spins over 1 minute!

Latest update: Thanks to Funky_Monkey's phone call I was able to snipe these HKS 272s for $300 tonight. Used but acceptable. I had planned on the 264's but since I was going to replace valve springs anyway, why not? This is going to be a real bad ass car come spring.
I am posting up my turbo, manifold, downpipe for sale this weekend. Getting ready for the custom triple ball bearing Billet 67.

ben42391 Thanks for the compliment. She is not only going to be a real screamer with the addition of the 272 cams and custom billet 67, I am also taking her back to the body shop early spring to repair a few chips and to repaint my mudflaps.
Now seriously looking for a roll cage. Let me know if you have one

Hey guys I am not sure where to put photos of my new daily driver. I sold the Saab and picked up a sweet driver. I need snow tire though as they are high performance Michelin on her right now. Aren't worth a damn in snow covered roads, but as soon as roads dry off they are sweet.

She is a 2004 BMW 330ci, 6 speed, cold weather package and all the bells and whistles. Not turbo charged, but I wanted safe reliable transportation.

Today I ordered the new valve springs and retainers. They should go in first week of January.

Very nice car you pick up there Dan. Winter tires and a extra set of rims are well worth there weight in gold. My when I put them on my caddy it makes all the world of difference. I go from getting stuck in 1" of snow to driving right threw/over 6"!!

Rob,
Yes, my wife demanded I get rid of the Saab and move ahead with a nicer car. My boss Sam has 3 BMWs and encouraged me to get a 06 awd twin turbo. Well I ddidn't have the 40K they cost, and besides I wanted a 2 door. The stability of this car is amazing even with the Michlin high performance summer tires! The traction and stability control take a bit of getting used to. Sean has made me swear not to modify her. I will probably take his advice. I do plan to move up to an M3 but have to pay for this car first.

Well my wife, Lucia and I are flying to Puerto Rico for a week in the sun. We are planning on relaxing and we are actually going to meet Luis and his GF. Sean and I have a small Christmas present for him of recycled Supra parts.
The latest on my 87 is: Sean pulled out the USDM cams and we are now checking clearance's. As soon as we know them, Dave Henry from Fargo is going to let us dig through his bucket of shims. We may have to buy a few. I also got notification today that the valve springs were shipped out today. So after we get back for PR they are going in.
Here are a few photo's of the progress.

Haha, just so you know, I was the one who told Sean about those cams. You should be thanking me! lol, just so you know, Sean talks about you and your car all the time, it's getting mildly annoying. Anyway, car look great!

Thanks Alec,
It really was a sweet deal on the cams, considering new they are almost $900! I had planned on 264's but what the heck!
Sean should be talking about his own car. It is looking very good. Tonight he is in the shop tonight working on wiring. We want to be super ready this spring. I still haven't decided 100% on turbo size. It seems the Billet 67 makes the most sense in a divided housing but the 6265 also seems a damn good choice. I know I want quick spool and good #s.

Today Steve (Toyotanos) and Sean (funky_monkey58) worked on installing the HKS 272's. All went pretty well until we figured out we need several more shims. Luckily Toyotanos works at a Toyota dealership and can get the shims quickly. I shot a few photos. We also installed Brian Crower springs, retainers and new Toyota valve seals. Steve found 4 seals that were not seated correctly. This may have been the source of the small puff of blue smoke on start up.

With a bit of luck she will be running again by next weekend. I still have a list of stuff to do. Spring is still 3 months off here on the frozen tundra!

Tonight Sean and Steve and I got the cams installed. We also installed the low miles coils I picked up on SupraForums. The 2JZ had not been running sine late October and one we turned her over a few times she fired right up. Initially she had a few misses. Once she warmed up, she revs just fine and has that nice lope the HKS 272s are known for.
We are now going to work on pulling off the ABS systems and cleaning up the wiring. Slow but good progress. Big thanks to Steve aka Toyotanos and Sean aka funky_monkey58 for all the help. Nice having a certified Toyota mechanic helping out.
