I think that would be a better question for Justin- perhaps they would take a trade-in on a bigger housing?

I talked with him the other day about this, and what he said was that he could see us a new housing, but being the old one is used there isn't much he can do with it. (cut for a q-trim) However he did offer us a pretty good discount for a new housing.

Dan did Shane give you a HP/TQ graph?

Y U NO rev 2JZ higher????? That thing has to be able to rev to 8k no? You have valve springs and all right?

I know, right? Like I said earlier- if he shut it down there I would be spinning higher than him this year! :evil2:

When Shane was putting her through the tune, she seemed to drop off right around 6900, so I think that's why he stopped. I do have the graph. I thought I should be able to go higher with the springs as well. Let's get some feedback here.

The dropoff might be what he's referring to as far as the exhaust housing is too small, could also be the exhast size as well? I think tuning the cams may benefit you too.

Sean pulled off the cat back and told me that there is no restriction inside it. So it has to be the turbo housing or just plain too small of tubing. New exhaust housing gets ordered tomorrow. I am going with the biggest a/r that they have, that and 4" piping.

I sent a text to DaveH followed by an email with all the specifics. If anyone knows these motors, Dave's the man. Gary thinks it's not the exhaust but something else. Perhaps it is the housing. I will post up when I hear back from Dave.

Good work Sean. Think it may have had anything to do with low out put on the dyno? My feeling is no. She ran good until we got to Brainerd.

No but it makes sense that it was so intermittent, pull like crazy one second no spark the next.

Lol, red mk4, TH350, BW 74mm, 4" exhaust. Ridiculously nice guy, you should know him, he knows of you... Once DB updates the 6-cyl leaderboard, he'll be #2
