I will be very interested to see how much of a difference that qsv makes on the 67, Dan. I got my new manifold machined and hoping for the exhaust housing to be done soon so I can bolt all that stuff up! I lost 1000rpm of spool goin to this 67 so I hope I can get some back with the manifold and such!

Oh yeah...pics NAOW!!

Wat? You haz 67 naow?

lol, I thought you knew!

I was sending the original turbo out for a billet wheel, measured it and discovered I had a 64mm wheel on it! (I had ordered a 61). Decided I might as well step up to a 67 since there was no price difference. It'll make some good power this year, or so I hope!

Tonight once we got the throttle body wiring set up, dropped in the radiator and cranked her over for several minutes, then we fired her up. She's got a real nice lope at 1000 rpm's :icon_bigg There is an exhaust leak near the turbo, not sure just where yet. Sean is going to chase down things tomorrow. Several small brackets need to be fabricated, and eventually powder coated. I am generally happy. I was good to see she fired right up as we messed around with the wiring harness quite a bit.

Rob, none yet. Sean's pic was taken with a cell phone I think. After Steve showed up and found my fan clutch leaking and in need of replacement, to be honest I am a bit frustrated. I also have was told my exhaust leak appears to be coming from the underside of my exhaust manifold. I had it planned, so Gary's thought is that the head may be the source, WTF?? I am gonna lift her up and make sure all the nuts are on tight. Pisses me off. It might be from the bottom of the spool valve as well? I am gonna track her down. Also need to come up with another 90 degree bend elbow for the power steering set up.
She fires right up though. In big time need of a tune. I think I am going to call DB and start looking at a time to go.

We took the Supra out for a short spin. All along we have had clearance issues with the Moshimotos radiator and the 2jz fan and clutch. Well, we only got about 3 miles and one pretty good pull and the fan blades contacted the back side of the radiator. Needless to say, several damn good cuts in the radiator, and a pile of coolant, and a tow home from the diesel.
I was pretty bummed out until I found out the radiator has a warranty. Sean and I then did some playing around with a 7m fan clutch and blade and with a small modification, I think we will be running a 7m fan clutch and fan on the 2jz. Clearance is by far greater, and the fan actually has a much better fit then the 2jz one does.

Dyno day is the 18th, so we have work to do. The one good pull I made we easily made 20 lbs in 2nd gear on just the wastegate spring.

Yes it is!

I suspect this setup is going to be absolutely amazing on the street this year judging by my data logs......20psi is wastegate pressure now, we made 550rwhp on 22psi.....Plus now we have the short runner and soon to be 3.5" exhaust.....

Steve, what do you think about Sean's design for the fan clutch? I can snap a few pic's if he didn't do so. Pisses me off. I ran the same set up last year and no issues with it hitting anything. I know she was pretty tight in there. Was there much turn around time on the radiator?

I haven't seen the design/pics yet...but I think the 10 blade fan was a better fit to begine with. That 7-blade one was just too thick for the space available.

As for the Radiator, I only waited a week for it to arrive after being QA'd 2x.

I just got e-mail notification that the Mishimoto radiator was covered and it will cost $10 for the shipping of a new one. WOW !! They wern't kidding about a no questions asked warranty. I hope they got her into todays mail. Will be posting up Sean's fabrication to use an OEM fanclutch and blade on my 2jZ in a MKIII chassis. I think it is going to work out just fine.

I cant believe they cover blade strike! Now covering it on a swapped Non oem engine, WOW.!

Shit I would buy one (even thou mine cools my engine just fine even with the A/C running) just for that warranty plan!!!

Rob, I am not complaining at all. Steve was correct about their warranty. I just checked on the delivery date. Will arrive on Thursday. Tonight, Sean pulled off the exhaust manifold after I held his feet to the fire. We could hear an exhaust leak, and also feel it. Once off, we found that one of his welds had a 1/4 inch "missed" spot. Once welded up, we put her back together. The leak is eliminated from that spot. I still think I hear a small one but as small as it is, I will live with it for now.
We also mounted the 7m fan clutch and blade to the front of the 2jz. We still aren't 100% satisfied with it yet. May need to machine a ring to mount against the pulley, but we will try it once we put some lock tight on the bolts. I can tell you this, there's a hell of a lot more room in between the fan and radiator. (we used the old ripped up one to measure)
