It's one of those out of sight out of mind things!

I got caught way back during an interstate trip cruising along in a car I'd just bought with a can of drink jammed in between the e-brake and the console in heavy traffic!

Traffic stops I hit the brakes they go to the floor I go to pull the e-brake this being an emergency and all it won't move cos of the can the can goes out the window I pull the brake not enough room to stop so I head for the grass verge heart rate redlines!

ALWAYS flushed the fluid in cars after that!

JaV: yeap it's about $17 per bottle and you'd need about 3>4 to do a complete flush!

5.1 should be about half that price so $35 usd!

I sort of figure even if I were paying $100 for fluid it's such a small component of the car costs it's not worth cheaping out on as 1 good brake fade at the wrong time could end your life or total the car...

I've turned all 4 discs blue on my car and never had fade so it's well worth it!

Well I had no luck with the alcohol im looking for... Im jsut gonna do a flush and refill today.

Im gonna go re study your instructions and Ive got a boat load of DOT3 to pour in lol.

Delated. I jsut reread and caught what IJ said. Drain from each bleeder untill none more yo.

Denatured alcohol should be pretty much the same as our "metho" over here Hells. Just grab some from a hardware store and you should be set!

Nothing good came out of yesterday... Flushed out my fluids... Took forever.. Never rebuilt pressure.
Master cylinder is dead. I am getting another one today from Chriso. Now I just need to install it. Should I follow TSRM procedure or is there any little tips and tricks I could do?

Bench bleed
Remove old
install new
finish flushing system.
Bleed.
Drive?
