You should keep them then. They are nice looking and in my experince, having at least one full set of extra wheels/tires is a good thing. I don't let anyone touch my car with an air gun so that means I need to take my wheels off and bring them to the shop to have tires mounted.

Anyone have any precutions or instructions for a brake booster + master cylinder swap?

I take it that the brake pedal assembly is seperated from the brake booster when the booster is unbolted... But the pedal will stay in place?

Other than that a good way to prime the new(well used but new) master cylinder? Anything to do to the brake booster?

Thanks all

You're gonna have to crawl in under the pedals to release a pin between the booster and the brake pedal. After the pin, there's 4 bolts that hold it in. After you unbolt it and release the pin, the booster comes off. Take the master cylider off first.

REmove all of the fluid in the master cylinder with a turkey baster or something and dump it in a bottle, then remove it

move the cruise control dealy out of the way, put bags over the brake lines and remove away

Noice Derk! Will the pedal fall to the floor once the booster is removed? I dont really wanna deal with that. I dont have a cruise control thing cause I took it out and drop kicked it at Yellow 13's house lol.

But Ill keep that in mind. How long did your swap take? And any pre install procedures that need to be done?

I'm not sure if it fell or not, I can't remember, haha. But I kind of remember twisting something, I'm pretty sure it was on the booster, probably pedal adjustment. If that's the case just twist the new one to the same lenght as the old one.

Swappin them out didn't take long at all, make sure you have a buddy around though to help bleed the brakes. But just take it all out, put it all back in, connect it all up again, bleed brakes...go see if you smash into anything :)

I'm gonna go take a look at it cause now I'm mad that I can't remember...

Yeah you can adjust pedal position on the booster. I really don't think the pedal will drop to the floor, but if it does, just adjust the new booster to the same level as the old

Oh I ment did the pedal assembly come off. I dont want to have to deal with putting the pedal back on the firewall... I would ask Jenny to do it again as she is small. But after I asked her to take my automatic brake pedal off that time... Oh boy.... lol

Thanks for letting me see that Derk! The only thing i could use is that trunk cover.... Mine is ripped to shreds...

So I got my stuff from Chriso (who is Gehy ;) ) And im stoked to get it in.

He made me the most woderfull deal... But there is a catch. My suspension.... + my HKS buttons. I would get his TEMS shocks off a 91, I would replace the stock springs with some eibachs or sotmhing simmilar(research time)...

And I would gettttt

An 89 spoiler
AMAZING condition 89 lights (USDM)
and I would foce him to weld m muffler on lol.

I wanted to replace my HKS springs on my shocks (for ride heigth) but I may just replace them with some OEM ones with some nice springs. Ill get what Iw ant out of it in the end...
