At the office on a SUNDAY NITE! DOH! (Can't view the vid!)

Car is looking great! I'm sure it sounds AWESOME, too! If not found already, I suspect the "boost leak" theory, too. Just went through that awhile back.;)

Man, I didn't put my tubular T4 from Ian on yet, but I DID go to a BOSS housing stage V trim 61GT, and MAN, what a difference in the exhaust note.;)

...can't wait to hear yours when I get home and can watch it! Beautiful color on that car, too.

thanks for the kind words ozz!

supra88, i got those gauges cheap on ebay but they pretty much nice looking pieces of shit, they'll be getting swapped out for these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cybe...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

those are namebrand and should be accurate, i'll just have to paint the bezels black again.

all i did to install was remove the electronics layer from the back of the gauge cluster, and used a 2" holesaw to cut where the gauges will sit so they can clear. then i used some 1/8" lexan painted black to block the light from seeping from behind the gauges. when all was said and done i put the green electronics layer back in place (over the back of the gauges) so i didnt have to rewire any other lights.

crisp, thanks for the compliments, and be sure to lemme know how u think it sounds.

hahaha
thats not the 1st time i've been asked that.

i just wish it was a few feet wider so i can practice my drifting :)

so anyone care to make an estimation on what it'll run @ the track this wednesday.
keep in mind i did 13.3 with the stocker @ 12psi, and im running 14psi now. same tires will be used, the ones in the pics above.

nope still running strong, its all in the tune guys. remember that guy that made 500+ whp on the stocker

didnt do too good @ the track last night. best time was a 13.8, but best MPH was 108. couldnt get the ting off the line, my best 60' of the day was a 2.45.

im ordering my FMIC and piping and 46mm tial sport wastegate today. EBC sometime over the weekend, and back to the track in a couple weeks. i'll post up any updates.

BIIIIIG update
intercooler, 2.5" piping w/ couplings and t-bolt clamps, and 46mm Tial sport wastegate ordered.

i went with a universal style ebay bar and plate FMIC. its got a 24X11X3 core w/ 2.5" outlets. the piping will be fit, cut, and welded for a cleaner look.
i will also be making a how-to for anyone wondering how to plumb up a universal FMIC.

another update and more pics when stuff comes in.

Haah felpro. Its only a matter of time. Especially if your runing more than 10psi.

even with decked surfaces and torqued to 90 something?

I only ask because my current supra had the engine rebuilt using a felpro and decked surfaces, with arp studs torqued to 90 something according to work orders and receipts

its all in the tune, as long as you dont try to run 20+psi on pump gas it should be ok. except the head stud torque, its only supossed to be torqued to 82ft/lbs max iirc. however i do know the torque spec changes depending on which assembly lube was used.

i'll let you know how mine holds up, but i did close to 10kmiles with the stock turbo above 12psi before the upgrade and it's fine.

the valve seal are another story.... mine are deff on the way out, so looks like i'll have my MHG engine in sooner than i thought :)

I plan to start going for more power soon too, different route thought

starting off with a maft pro setup

ordered that, a wideband sensor, fmic and hardpipes, new bov, cold air intake

I think doing maft pro instead of buying the boost controller, wideband reader, lex afm, and all that is actually cheaper, plus I can vent blow of valve to atmosphere and not have to buy a recirc kit

still need to get an adjustable fuel regulator and upgrade the fuel pump, then onto exhaust, injectors, etc.

all leading up to a bigger turbo :)

The felpro head gaskets are made of the same material as the stock HG. You run a decent amount of boost and the material around the rings will melt just like the stock ones. And that's how you get a bhg. So if your lucky it'll hold up but who knows. Lol only time will tell. I wouldn't recommend it. Im using a felpro in my supra too but im not planning on running high boost or upgraded turbo for that matter.

well no REAL updates, but i was bored today so i decided since im probably gonna be swapping out motors soon i should make it look purdy.

intake mani was done 3 stage w/ aluminum color high temp paint as the base, and metalcast blue (like a kandy paint) clear will come tomorrow.
throttle body done in the high temp aluminum.
fuel rail, fittings, and pulsation dampener polished to a mirror finish, along with that fitting for the brake booster. that mounts on the intake mani.
a/c compressor bracket and alternator belt tensioner sprayed silver as well.
since the car is goin silver, this should go good w/ my silver w/ blue accent color scheme.
and heres a pic to hold you guys over till friday.
