Nice work man, very neat and tidy mountings. More than i can say about mine, they look like fettuccine and tinsel.

How much longer before i get to see this thing running? Centralia? <-i'm ambitious.

keep the updates coming man.

LOL You would probably win though, not fair!

When I first saw you on the boards, i was like "That guy stole my name!" Then I looked at your join date... *doh!*

I've been using this name (complete with the _5) for 10+ years now ;)

I've been asked that before, and I don't have an answer lol... IIRC, when i first thought of it the name was taken on whatever it was (probably hotmail) so I thought the _5 sounded cool for whatever reason, it's stuck ever since ;) I have always liked the number 5...

Got the last major component of my clutch kit today! RPS Segmented flywheel, act 6-puck clutch, aisin pressure plate...

Still need to get my clutch shims from toyota (and lots of other odds and ends), then ARP flywheel bolts need to be ordered (along with 90 degree oil filter adapter, 4 rotors, other stuff I'm forgetting...) and then a few loose ends need to by tied up but I'm getting close to getting that engine bay filled!

Thanks bro, it was nice meeting you too!

I got my new rotors today, thanks Chris! I'm just waiting on one more package with my starter, PS Pump, and rear t-stat housing...

I had planned on getting all four rotors installed today, as well as all my semi-metallic brake pads, then fill and bleed the system and have a rolling chassis again, but of course it wasn't that simple! My rear calipers are shot, and short of driving to Tacoma, which is NOT happening, they are special order :( I got my fronts taken care of, and then I just cleaned my work area, it's nice having a proper toolbox now, I actually have room to store my tools and parts! Nice, clean, and organized now...

Getting ready to get the engine dropped in real soon (if all goes well)

Do you want pictures of semi completed brakes with stock rotors? I think not ;) Maybe once I actually get them all installed and bled I might take a picture, but it's still not particularly interesting, and I forgot to take a picture of my walbro 255, a picture of the fuel tank with wires cut isn't interesting either...

It turns out I'm too broke for the calipers right now anyways so it might have to wait until next month, we'll see how much I make... if anyone feels like coming to my work and giving me a fat tip to help the Supra fund, let me know :biglaugh:

Installed my new R154 seal, damn was the old one a pain to get out, until I realize how easy it was to pop off the dust shield, *doh!*, I also got all my new shims and springs and assembled the clutch hub & throwout bearing assembly on my new pressure plate. How about a picture of that?

I've gone through the whole engine drop in procedure about 10 times in my head, but considering I'm renting the hoist, I can't afford to miss a part and have to wait...

Does anyone know off the top of their head, if all the transmission -> engine mount bolts are the same? Or different? I ordered what I think is correct from Toyota, 9 long and 1 extra long, does this sound right?

Is there anything I need to look out for that could stop me if I don't have?

Right now I think all I need is to get it rolling again, and a snap ring for my shift fork pin I hope to find at the hardware store... Engine drop party anyone?

It's all from an '87

And I'm talking about the bolts holding the tranny to the block

The ones holding the transmission mount to the body would be a good idea too, lol, thanks for the reminder ;) I'll have to track them down...

I also need to look into the wing brackets for the R154, not exactly sure where those bolt up, Could I install them after the engine and trans are dropped into the car?

Really? Will it fit in a jeep grand cherokee? I'm guessing it just disassembles?
I'll bribe you with pizza or something ;)

Things are starting to fall in place quite nicely here... Still waiting on some odds and ends, in the mean time I updated my parts list today, and damn has it come a LONG way since I First started it!

The first post has been updated, and will be updated every now and then to reflect my current list of parts and work done to the car!

Today I mounted my thermostat and assembled the first two hoses, waiting on 4 more 90 degree hose ends until I can finish the oil system
