Started working on a design for a flywheel to run a triple disc clutch.

It is still in the rough as you would say.

Well I am bringing the car home tonight and I am going in another direction with my fuel setup.

When I had the A1000 rebuilt Aeromotive said they bumped the capacity up by 30% which is awesome. And I picked up a set of 1600cc injectors, and now I am going to be running E85.

It just seems to be the best choice for me now, and its hard to beat $2<gallon for basically race fuel.

What brand of clutch were you planning on going with? I was looking at the Quarter Master V-drive 7.25" units, they don't have a flywheel, but the triple clutch kit isn't much more than a regular single plate clutch. The only hard part is the flywheel and the throwout bearing. I don't recall what the R154 spline count is (I have the info at home I think), but from what I remember they had one that would work.

I was also curious if you could simply use the flex plate from an auto with a flywheel mounted "on top", allowing you to make the flywheel outside diameter only big enough for the clutch disc/pressure plate mounting while not having to worry about attaching a ring gear to the custom flywheel.

edit: found it, spline is 1-1/8X21

Right now I have about half of the engine bay nicely stripped to bare metal and smooth. I will continue on this week in my spare time, and hoping to put some paint to it next weekend.

Should look incredible being 100% shaved and glossy black.

how long did your a1000 last? i thought you could only run pump through the a1000 so wouldnt e85 damage it? excuse me if im confused im still learning differences in fuel

My original A1000 is still running strong pumping E85 all season long, my uncle bought a used A1000 that came DOA and since my car was down I took mine off and gave it him and had the DOA one rebuilt.

But they rate the A1000 for alcohol use.

7m injector bore on the head. 10.5mm my 1600cc injectors pintle caps 12mm diameter. I think I may need to do some boring.

Pics coming of some stuff.

Or if I can find some pintle caps and bore them a bit on the tip.
