I pulled my throttle body back apart today to see what I could do with it. After looking at a spare manifold I have, I realized that it had a part of a paper gasket similar to the one I had in there to start with, rather than the metal one I bought from O'Reilley's. That caused me to look harder at the one that fell apart when I took it out to start with. That's when I noticed that the metal one I had was not the same, leading me to believe it may be an N/A. I went back and bought another gasket, that was paper this time, and factory marked 7MGTE, but the hole in the center was very small. It looked like it would cover at the top where the metal one didn't, so I took it. After trimming out the hole to size, I now have a good seal at the throttle body. I didn't do much more with the car today, but I did get my driver's side dash put back together and dead pedal installed. After that I played with the NEO values a bit, to smooth the idle even more. Then I became a family man (taxi driver) for the rest of the daylight.
Tomorrow, I'll be swapping the oil pressure sender, and then concentrating on that damn NEO Tach signal. That's all I have left to do before I can get it tuned. I'm SOOO close I can taste it.
