There are days like this. Just have to deal with them I guess. I hate them as much as you however. My head has been at the machine shop for 3 weeks now.

yeah i'm over it haha...wish i could work on it this sunday if i had my stuff but i'll go visit the gf at college instead :evil2: funny how the sup is first then her haha not really but she understands somewhat.

i'm really in love with pro sport gauges though, i mite have to buy and fit a boost, water, and oil pressure gauge in my cluster.their premium gauges are really thing probably perfect for the fit.

Got my stuff back and my RSR GTII exhaust came in!!!!

I asked the guy to measure my head and he said he would.he didnt mention anything when i picked it up so i figured the head is uncut.Well better safe than sorry so i checked. 115.47mm.This machine shop sucks!Looks like a 2.0mm mhg is on order.I guess the only way to check deck height is measure how far the pistons stick out? .012-.020" correct?someone chime in please...

Here are some pics.Enjoy :icon_bigg

well this was depressing...i plastigaiged my main cap bearings with sad results...I thorqued the caps down to 75 ft lbs and pulled them back off.To my amussement, the plastigauge wasn't even crushed!!!!so i took the crank out and put the main cap back on with the bearings still in place and measured the inside diameter...2.361".i then measured my OD on the crank...2.350"... .011" clearance FUCK!So i'm guessing my crank was cut before?I got .003" clearance on my rods.

right now i got 2 choices: get oversized bearings or a new uncut crank...

my crank has blue heat spots around the journals...i'm leaning towards a new crank.

this is comparing it to the white .003" gauge.

Moly lube mmmmmm......

p986628_4.jpg

ARP'd up..i followed IJ's advice and went

30 ft lbs, 60ft lbs, (80 ft lbs, loosened, x2 more times) then 85ft lbs.

Also for those of you wondering, the arpm main stud kit come with two bolts, they need to go on cap #3 so the oil pump clears.

Unless that 3SGTE is funding more toys for the Supra it would stay in the car till my engine was done. :evil2:

Good work so far. Keep it up.
