don't you have to worry about the tight tolerances? All due respect to Jon, he says I should leave it to the pros... :dunno:

what do you mean and whos jon?ive measured my piston to wall and they are at .0025"...book says .0035" max so i heve room for honing....of course i'll remeausre after machining

so my rings never showed up so i called like 5 times and noone picked up.i emailed them and i got an email back saying we are sorry and that your money is returned to your card...i'm like wtf no explenation or anything.

in the mean time i got my head apart to prep it for the machine shop and what do i find...all cam journals scored to shit...i should known that pan had alot of debris in it.i continue aking the valves out just for shits and giggles and i find some exhaust valve stem scoring...so at this point i'm thinking it would cost me an arm and leg to get this fixed so i got on ebay and found me a rebuilt head from cylinder heads international for 440 shipped.great company to deal with they shipped to me in less than a week and it coems with a 1 yr warranty...

at the same time i said what the fuck and ordered new oem pistons.they are the exact same size as my old ones so thats good cause they are gonna fit nicely.also came with npr rings so i got that outta the way...

pix tommorow...

my pistons came in and thank god the fit tight i had like .002" so they have room to hone.every thing is at the machine sho they are honing my block, cleaning it, surfacing the block+head to 30 ra, and polishing my crank.i'm also using chrome rings :aigo: wth thats what stock uses...i let the guy know and he said he will hone for chromes.

also i was gonna buy the diy exhaust piping and reuse my muffler but i said FUCK it and bought the sexiest exhaust ever...rsr gtII baby i cant wait to get this here.

Also i'm looking for a 3" down pipe so if anyone has one its the missing link to my exhaust system LMK.it doesnt have to look pretty as long as it aint smashed up.thanks.

So back when the car was running i took a couple buddies out on the high way and did soem 130+mph pulls when soem lumina changed lanes into my mine.panic stop and holy FUCK brake fade haha i HAD to down shift to 3rd in order to not rear end this guy...stupid long story short i knew i needed brakes since i bought th ecar so i got some fornt brake pads and took my rotors out so i can machine them at work on monday.hopefully they are not under spec (by much :evil2: ) .

so anyways 10 months owning teh car and i did not know it had wheel locks...

of course I spent 30 munites looking for the damn key, and as I almost gave up hope it was still in the car i lifted the spare tire and there it was.smart place to hide it prick.

also, i think i found my popping noise when i turned my wheel all the way to the stops...is there suppose to be something rubber on that bracket opposite to the stop bolt?

That extra gasket is the exhaust seal for N/A motors.
As far as a popping noise when turning, look at your lower control arms and rack and pinion bushings. There is no rubber bumpers on steering stops.

where did you buy the stuff for the harness? and how much did you spend?

autozone rotors work fine for me, i scare people with how fast i stop sometimes. i have porterfield RS4 pads though...

well my engine stuff should be done by thursday for me to pick up and i just bought 550's and a glove box (broke mine) from our awsome members here and after that i'm placing a huge order at DM for the MHG, spearco stylie IC, catch can,7/16 exhaust mani stud kit, samco rad hoses, oem oil filter, FPR kit, cold start injector braided line, fuel pump and thats it i think...then after that i gotta wait a couple paychecks and hopefully tax return for the 57 trim upgrade, map ecu, and all the other misc shit...

:x:i decided i absolutly despised my el cheapo autozone boost gauge the previous owner had dry wall screwed in there so, i started fitting my auto meter gauge in there.this is no where near done, just took the cluster apart to see what i'm getting into and to be honest for the amount of work required i really wanna get soem 60mm prosports in there :icon_razz

p970202_1.jpg

i also tested the gauge, it screwed into my blower nozzle perfectly

p970202_2.jpg

14 psi on the regulator, 14 psi on the gauge!perfectly calibrated...gotta love autometer :icon_razz

p970202_3.jpg

dhl tack # shows my rsr might be in tommorow :x:

and i dont know why its taking so long for my block to get done.
