Man, what a busy day! This past week i finished swaping rear enda in.The n/a rear end came out in 15 minutes!i love rust free cars and air tools.I also shimmed my oil pump.In the pic you can see what size washer i used, it fit perfectly in the oil pump plug.i shimed to 6.3 mm.The rack on the gray car was beat.Leaking and the boot was ripped wiping out the inner tie rod.I swapped my perfectly good 87 rack in and cleaned the subframe from the half inch of oil/dirt.also swapped my brand new brakes and turbo wheels up front.today was a BUSY day.started at 930am got done at 1030pm.put all accesories on, clutch on, motor tranny together, wiring harness and put the motor in.Also removed CC so i can fit my Catch can and all A/C components.I need a new clutch line because my fintings are seized tgether so i ordered a SS line from DM.Hoping it will be complete next sunday!

GRRRRR..............

i hate being set back...I dropped the IC off to get mount plugs welded on....should be ready tomorrow but dunno if i'll be able to pick up.

Still waiting on clutch line...

Still haven't drained tank-put new fuel pump in...

I costume mounted my oil cooler, it now sits just under the rad support. The lines are gonna be tricky to run.I'll take pix later.

By the looks of it now it looks like she SHOULD start late Sunday.

Well...It DID start last Sunday...ha ha...been so busy working on this...I primed it and it started right up...idled crappy and would choke and die when i gave it gas...CPS was off, fixed and starts and revs beautifully...will not hold idle.I haven't figured that out yet any ideas?NO codes at all, i can hear the ICS.Getting enough fuel maybe a little to rich.Plugs where fouled from when my timing so far off.Haven't really set timing yet with a timing light i just got 19 inhg of vacuum.Ive been working on this every night but i just don't have time :3d_frown:i just wanna drive it ha ha.This Sunday I'm dripping the tank to install a new oil filter and my walbro.

Ok so last Sunday i was trying to figure out why the damn car would not stay idling...i checked everything i could of checked for so i decided that having some old ass gas in the tank could be the culprit.I figured i would drain the tank completely and drop it to change in my walbro anyways. The feed line, and just about any fuel line on this thing would not budge.long story short my feed from the pump hanger kinked up so i got held up.Thank god for this extra supra sitting here that i robbed the hanger from it today. The fuel lines on that car break loose instantly, so that saved me the head ache.As of now I'm waiting for my fuel filter to come in tomorrow.I should have everything back together tomorrow but I'm gonna wait for my ngk's to come in since everyone is so against bosch's.In the mean time I'll fix my thermostat housing leak and check timing once again.i hope new gas and plugs fixes this. There was about 1 gallon of 2yr old gas in the tank.

Here's some pix of how i mounted my boost gauge today.it's a pretty good spot, very easy to read yet i can still see all gauges/lights in cluster.

I'm gonna steal some convolute from work to clean this up

I also swapped in my tach from the turbo car since we all know the na tach doesn't work with 7mgte electronics. I was happy to see it work last week, i hate when my tach/speedo doesnt work.

And here's my walbro installed, i soldered and heat shrink tubed the wiring, should hold up to gas fine?

Got it running perfect last week.i put new gas and still ran like poop.plugs kept fouling out.I thought my afpr was faulty and not returning any fuel.cracked th ereturno open and it was for sure returning so i focus on the afm.I'm sitting there looking at it while its running...I dont have a filter on it cause my IC piping has pushed it next to the fan.so all this air forced into the afm=pig rich...haha...so as its about to die i put my hand between the afm and the fan...sure enough it picks back up and starts idling smooth as ever.soon as i remove my hand it dies.I put a filter on it and pushed the afm outta the fans way and i had it idling for 15 munites...smooth as butter.so yeah stupid mitake on my part but i've never worked on afm cars before so live and learn.Currently waiting on parts from toyota to fix my leak from my thermo housing.

So I've been driving her to work lately when its not raining.she hasn't given me any trouble except when the waste gate c-clip fell off resulting in no boost.Happened right as I was trying to show it off to my buddy when he was in the car :icon_mad: I fixed that and at the same time i shimmed the waste gate with 2 washers.before the shim it ran 7 psi max.i believe the waste gate is tired.shimming it brought it to 8.5 psi and boost seems to come in quicker and stronger.I am going to the track with some buddies on Wednesday so wish me luck.I hope to run low 14's on 10 psi :icon_bigg

right now i just wanna drive it but i do have a lot of plans for it.I wanna redo the ridiculous inter cooler piping with as little couplers as i can.also map ecu is on my top of the list.Hoping to break the tie rods loose so i can align on Monday at work. I also stickered her up :icon_bigg Its amazing how clean a 5.9 durango runs ha ha.
