One more thing, last night when I changed the intake hose for the turbo I noticed there was a small pool of oil on the lip of the turbo inlet. Is that normal? I remember reading that there will eventually be oil in the PCV and intercooler pipes but is it bad for it to be there? If so how can I get rid of it?

HAHAHAAH that made me bust out laughing I am actually LOLing hahaha. Is your turbo stock? mine didn't whistle at all when I first had the car then again it had a BHG so it wasn't fully boosting. It doesn't sound like something is about to go horribly wrong it sounds more like a small leak or gap between something with air rushing by/through.

Son of a bitch, I just remembered I tore the intercooler hose a little bit that connects to the turbo when I was trying to put the stupid banjo bolt on the block for the turbo hard line. Maybe that is my gap causing it to whistle?

I'd look at replacing the pipe rather than trying to tape it. It needs to be done regardless if it's already broken. I'd say you're probably right in that's what is causing the noise though.

As posted higher it's fairly normal to see some on the lip of the turbo due to the PCV system setup. That's one of the advantages of running a catch can, you're not coating the inside of your entire intake with oil. If you are concerned about excessive blow by, take the lower pipe off the intercooler. Being the lowest point this is where it's most prone to collecting and you'll definitely have a good pool of oil there if there are serious blow by issues.

Yea I was thinking earlier of just getting a silicone charge pipe to replace it then eventually go with a full metal setup but I will do that when I swap the motor.

anyone know where I can find a silicone charge pipe? I need the piece that connects the turbo and the metal elbow together

The Turbo to which metal elbow? Exhaust or intake side?

Are you sure that it's coming from that area. Directionality is a funny thing in cars.

The climate control has a few things which are motorised, vent adjusters and the like. You could be hearing some of that from the passenger side air ducts.

The valve for the heater core will open (If it needs to) after the car starts, but not before, since it needs manifold vacuum to do so. Shouldn't make any noise though.

Since it's the charge pipe, that will be the one on the intake side, from the turbo outlet. From the turbo to cast elbow in the factory piping between the turbo and intercooler, I assume.

It's the exhaust side the hose goes directly to the turbo and down to the intercooler but between the turbo and intercooler there is a short 90 degree metal elbow that it connects to.

It sounds like it is coming from behind the glove box it will make the noise for a min or so randomly sounds like an electric motor trying to operate something; however, I have noticed it makes that sound more often when I turn the climate control temp to 80+ because now in Houston it's cold and I don't turn the AC on since it doesn't have freon in it yet I just have the temp up and open the vents to keep me warm. Ever since I did that I have been hearing the sound more often I am almost positive it is from behind the glove box area where the heater core apparently is.

It's the exhaust side of the engine, but the INTAKE side of the turbo. Dealing with the intake air, as opposed to the downpipe on the hotside of the turbo.

Is your climate control on "defrost" by any chance? If it is, it tries to use the A/C in order to dry the air in the car.

Ahh yes the intake side of the turbo yes, I need to find a silicone hose to replace that so I can pass emissions and make the car run better any ideas on where I can find one?

No I have it on top vents or both top and bottom vents I hardly ever turn the fans on I usually just turn the fans on low to adjust the temperature then turn it off and let the air flow in.

I don't need to replace the accordion hose anymore I already did I need to replace the charge pipe on the intake of the turbo because that is where my boost leak is.

Speed-source used to have a charge pipe. I had one back when I was rocking the CT-26, but when I got my Turbonetics, I decided that the 2" diameter wasn't a good fit. It's too bad that they don't make that pipe anymore, it was a really nice piece at a great price. It was a 2" steel pipe that replaced the charge pipe all the way from the turbo outlet to the intercooler.
