No worries Rico, I know you weren't bashing on me. I just like to pull the 300hp AWD card out--every time I say I drive a 6 speed 300hp AWD car people assume I'm talking about an EVO/STI, when I tell them it's a Volvo I get no respect especially when I tell them it's a wagon. Some people (who know about the Volvo R's) toss some respect to the car.
It is a true sleeper, I ran against a high schooler in an STI and kept my front bumper even with his front wheel up to 85mph when he backed out. It was funny, he kept looking over at me, and then down to his dash with this look of disbelief, like something was wrong with his ride, 'cause a Volvo wagon was hanging with him! He had a couple of his buddies in the car or I think he would have walked (not run) away from me.
I bought it new in '06 from Sill-Terhar Volvo, the best is when you tell the dealer that you will be paying in cash, man they jump all over to make you happy, he was offering champane, free hats, glasses, a Volvo watch with me in flip-flops and a wife beater T. When I went to pick it up there were some minor scratches on the front bumper, I pointed them out before I wrote the check, and within the week they had replaced the entire bumper with a new one . . . Money Talks!
They typically are in the mid to high $40's. with the set-up I bought it came to near $48k -- was a hard check to write, to say the least!
