Yo Colorado! Im new to the forum and lookin to pick up my first mkIII. If anyone knows of decent local(tri-state area) one for sale please let me know. If one of you is the middle aged guy from Boulder with the nice 89+ turbo all white, clean you're car. I've seen this thing a couple times and it looks great(no rust/dents), but its always dirty. For god sakes, I'll pay for your 3 dollar wash just so i dont have to see that pristine white so tainted.
LOL it might be me that you are are talking about......its my 87. As far as Supra's i have seen a few good ones on craigslist in the area for sale you should check it out.

Haha, well if it is you then i'll feel stupid cuz, i was pretty sure it had the newer tail lights and bumper, but Im new to these so....

And as for the cars on craigslist, there are two really nice looking ones, although both turbo, which would kill my insurance, but most important of all... they're automatics! I just cant drive a semi-sporty car without a clutch, its just not right. But i do see this pre89 everyday thats doesnt appear to be driven regualrily, i want to leave a note on it and tell the owner they should sell. In fact, i think i'll do that this weekend.

Anyways... Im off to test drive an 88 now, but its N/A and has no options. VERY basic.

My car is an 87 but i do have a 89+ front bumper and taillights as well as mirror so it probably looks just about identical to a 89 Supra

Sometimes but usually only to go from arapahoe or to pearl. I live in Erie and go to boulder everyday to work.

Haha, that had to be you then. The one i saw was on Foothills going south turning onto arapahoe going east. So he came from the pearl direction. If that was you, thats some freaky shit. What a small world.

Amazing how connected we have become as a society just through the internet.

--EDIT--
By the way, i drove an immaculate(exterior and engine) 88 NA today, interior needs some love, but otherwise stunning, too bad the dude wants about 3800.

Honestly If i were you i would think about driving to AZ, NM, NV, CA to pick one up and drive it home. They are all over-priced here in CO. For the most part people with rear-wheel drive cars have Mustangs and Cameros.

Ya i've been searchin autotrader and cars.com for anything within 500 miles, but no luck. I may have to just call it good if its this side of the mississippi. And I could always go for a road trip. It'd just suck to waste 200 bucks on gas to see a supra i dont buy, but hey it could easily be worth it i suppose.

ya i dont really see any supras in the area. The only ones i see is the ones at Don's shop where Matt's car is at. I would like to have a meet somewhere and show some supra love. Everyone that sees my car or my buddys 89 just give us shit because we drive older supras and not new ones. All these rich kids get evo's and wrx's and think there car is better just because its new. Makes it all the better when you fly by them in your old car.:evil2:

Anyone looking for a good turbo motor with 142k miles on it? I have one in my parts car and would like to sell it as a whole instead of parting it out. Perfect for a turbo/NA swap or for building it with minimal downtime for your ride. $1000 OBO i still have the wire harness and ECU but it is an AUTO. Car was in a front end accident but it still was running just fine. Everything was pushed back a litlle towards the engine but the fan didn't hit the radiator or anything. Just mangled the intercooler and auto tranny cooler a little. Really not that bad another testament to what tanks Supras are.

turbo4toy would you happen to have the interior wiring harness where the ignition switch is and the outer harness where the head lights are, readily available. I'm having some wiring problems and hope to find them. By the way i'm in the Longmont area. It's nice to know that there are more Supras out there.

Wooohoooo! Finally got my LS-1 MAF and harness from Dr. Jonez. Damn this thing is big.... time to rethink my intake piping... 3 1/2" diameter.

Now, who's gonna help me install it?
