It doesn't take much for the dimmer to die... it may have been on it's way out to begin with. Mine was working fine one evening, stopped at a store and didn't work for the trip home. They're not just a simple rheostat. Try bypassing it. Disconnect the dimmer and jumper the white/black wire to the white/green, if you think there may be a short in the new cluster put a 5-10A fuse in between the two jumpered lines.

Thanks for the input. I just relayed the message to my dad. We will see what happens. And if it is the rheostat i will replace at sometime, but the bipass should work for now. Thanks.

Anyone know someone who wants to buy a project turbo supra with lots of mods and rare parts? Has rod-knock but I have an extra block I can throw in and plenty of extra parts. Its the one in my "sig" and has all the mods listed.

I just have too much money in it and not enough time to do it. I have it on craigslist for $4800. I don't know if its too high of a price or not but considering what I have in it I feel its fair. I'm open to offers though and might consider coming down on the price.

I'll make a FS thread on here as well, just for the hell of it too.

Possibly the one I drove last fall as it was sold locally just a month ago. That thing was super clean.

How many running mkIII's do you suppose are in CO? More than 100? More than 250?

I'm guessing on the higher end of that..... I've seen quite a few running MkIIIs lately in Colorado Springs. Most of them are NA, but I've seen a few decent turbos around.

I guess they're all in Colorado Springs... I've personally seen 10 in the Denver Metro area, not including those which I'm sure were previously in my count and of course not including mine. Any way about it I don't think there's much doubt that they're scarce in this state.

It'd be sweet if someone here either worked for, or knew someone who worked for, the dept. of revenue... I think that's who would have the data.

do not go to Don!!! he does some good work i.e.(matt's car) but damn he dosent know the first thing about wiring. i bought a map-ecu from the guy 3 weeks ago and never got it to run right. took it to mac auto today and they had it tuned and running great in a few hours. If its something simple take it to him but dont expect to see results for a while.
