Some people asked for it so here it is!

97mm stroker crankshaft for the 7mgte soon to be completed.

this is my prototype for on the shelf stock, I will try to keep some in stock as long as I can find some good cranks to work with. These cranks are re-stroked stock cranks and will be ground to fit clevite bearings in one std size. This crank will also use the stock style rods, so any off the shelf rod will work. I am having custom CP pistons made to go with the crank. Price for the crank will be in the middle 1000's with your good core. Pistons will run about 770.00 with the rings and pins. I can also stroke or destroke your crank to nearly any lenght.

lol, to be on topic... I think that your work is awesome SuperRich. I am personally no where near needing that level of customization, but for the people who are you are definitely providing a vital service.

Very nice work my friend. Finally, something to replace Flatlander strokers which up until now was pretty much all there was as a supplier of stroker kits/accessories. Good luck and I hope to see more threads on you as it completes!

What's going to need to be different in the rotating assembly from stock? Obviously the crank, I inferred pistons (not sure though). I also inferred that stock (or my stock Pauter) rods would be OK. Please confirm what actually needs to be modified from stock.

I'm about to build a motor and would seriously consider going your route as long as I don't have to sell my rods.

LOL, your post made me go into the basement and check the bore on my pistons. I was questioning MY sanity for a second:) Definitely would've preferred a 3.4 but the 7M didn't start out square to begin with, dammit :-(

This crank can use any rods made for the stock assembly, it is the pistons that will be changed. I will be having custom cp pistons made with the pin moved up. So yes, you can use your pauter rods.

I think it's actually a 3.2 unless my bore recollection is off

Yes, this crank will make a stock bore motor a 3150cc, but the pistons I am making will be 1mm over so the total new displacement will be 3226.64cc

I can do a 3.4 if you want one, just need to do a 85x100mm or a 84x102mm, but once you get up that high in the stroke, I recommend some non stock style rods.

I am totaly intrested! I am also with blkt72, i dont want to have to sell my crower rods.
I need to do a complete rebuild, new pistons, so i am very intrested.

How soon before all of this is ready? or are the parts availible now?

So i take it these are offset ground, and then material welded on so that the stock sized big ends can be used? Let me know if i am off here....

I'm about ready to buy a new shortblock and this is actually cheaper assuming I'm reading the costs right. I'll sell the J&Es and buy the custom pistons. Just didn't want to mess with selling the Pauter's, I've had to hear too much about Eagle rods... You get what you pay for, but most MKIII owners don't realize that.

Hey Dave, I was talking to you on Supraforums about the BBQ and camping at tx2k7, and killing some mk4's with our Harleys...

Parts will be ready Very very soon. Takes forever to weld and grind these cranks. Your crank or one of mine, I can make these all different sizes. Few weeks maybe.

Yes, that is 100% correct. Actually weld first, then offset grind second.
